Welcome to Tree Top Lodge!
Tree Top Lodge is a 4-bedroom, 3.5-bathroom upscale log cabin atop Sugar Mountain, close to the ski slopes, snow tubing, and ice skating! The Sugar Mountain Ski Resort shuttle is available to drop you off at the slopes during the ski season. The pick-up spot is just down the road from the home.
Sugar Mountain is a year-round resort with all activities open to the public and available to anyone staying on Sugar Mountain. Golf and tennis are open May 1 – October 31, weather permitting. Spring through Fall includes an 18 hole golf course, clay tennis courts, mountain biking, and a restaurant.
Tree Top Lodge sits on a quiet, spacious, landscaped property, mostly-level and very usable. There is a nice wood-burning fire pit in the backyard and long-range, layered mountain views from the house itself. The attached garage is accessible to guests and adds to the generous parking, which is paved and level. Central heating and air conditioning, a washer and dryer, WiFi internet and digital cable TV programming, and numerous family-friendly touches such as a Pack & Play, puzzles and games, basketball goal, and more are just a handful of the conveniences and comforts at Tree Top Lodge.
The covered front porch stretches the width of the house and offers a quiet, comfortable spot to enjoy the mountain breezes from the porch swing. The cabin has wood floors, tongue-and-groove vaulted ceilings, exposed beams, a stone fireplace with gas logs, a large HD Smart TV, and ample comfortable seating highlighted by a designer leather sectional and matching chair with an ottoman. Enjoy the natural sunlight which pours in from the windows and the mountain views visible from the great room.
The dining area is adjacent and open to the great room and boasts a beautiful antler chandelier. Accommodating ten (10) guests comfortably, the dining table itself can seat up to eight (8) guests, plus two (2) more at the counter-height bar stool seating beside the dining table. The kitchen is spacious and well-outfitted. The new owner has recently added custom lighting and shelving and high-end stainless appliances with a gas cooktop to complement the granite countertops and wood floors.
The master suite is on the main level, with a king bed, an HD Smart TV, and sliding glass doors to the open-air rear deck and the hot tub. Custom touches such as new furniture, light fixtures, and a solid wood track-style barn door make this a delightful primary suite. The full ensuite bathroom boasts a double vanity with a granite countertop, two under-mount sinks, and a large shower.
The expanded rear deck provides more outdoor living space, primarily for the deck furniture, including two loungers, two cushioned armchairs, and a sectional sofa. These are accented by side tables and sit under the shade of umbrellas. There is a gas grill, an outdoor dining table and chairs, and a large hot tub outside the master bedroom. This is a great place to enjoy the view and sunny days or relax at night under the stars after a long day on the ski slopes. There is a warm heater that can make those crisp, cool evenings much more comfortable.
Upstairs are two more large bedrooms, flanking each side of the house. One of the two upstairs bedrooms has a queen bed and a twin day bed with a twin trundle bed beneath. This bedroom can sleep up to four guests. The other bedroom has a queen bed and a comfortable armchair. Both upstairs bedrooms have individual year-round climate control, ceiling fans, large HD Smart TVs, and large windows to enjoy the mountain views Both upstairs bedrooms are generous in size, with wood accent walls and wood floors softened by area rugs. The central balcony, featuring a custom natural branch balustrade, is open to the great room and the impressive views. There is a full bathroom with a deep soaking tub and shower combo.
Downstairs provides direct access to the garage for convenience. A big bunk bedroom is on this level, with a custom, built-in, timber-framed bunk bed featuring a queen lower bed and a twin top bed. The twin bed is positioned perpendicularly above the queen bed below and set much higher than typical beds, allowing guests using the queen bed not to feel like they are in a bunk bed. This is a fun, flexible bedroom that can comfortably accommodate three (3) adults and children. A full bathroom with a tub and shower combo is accessible directly from the bunk bedroom. There is a charming den and game room with a slate pool table, a large wall-mounted HD Smart TV, and a cozy sitting area, including a full-sized jack-knife sleeper sofa, which can comfortably accommodate one more guest.
The front yard is level, nicely landscaped, with mature hardwood trees offering shade to the bird feeders and the meditation bench. The lower level has an exterior door leading to a rear courtyard beneath the deck above, to the paved parking area, where you can play basketball with the full-sized, adjustable basketball goal. Down the path in the backyard is the wood-burning fire pit with Adirondack-style chairs.

It was very clean the moment we walked in. We felt right at home and it was perfectly close to Sugar where we could drop off and pick up our people from snowboarding and skiing.
The property and cabin were as beautiful as they appeared online. We had the full range of mountain weather, to include a March snowfall and a bright sunny day to explore the area. A wonderful place for us to spend time together as a family.

The property was beautiful! Great space with plenty of room for all 7 of us. 3 adults and 4 kids, ages 11-14.
The house was amazing with beautiful views and very comfortable. Close to everything and the roads were well kept when it snowed.
Perfect mountain getaway!

Thank you so much for taking the time to share regarding your stay. Your trust and your business are incredibly important to us. Its our sincerest hope that a revisit will happen, sooner rather than later.
The house was beautiful, spacious, nicely furnished, well stocked kitchen. I wish we would have known that the basement bedroom has to be accessed through the garage. But overall, everything else was great... perfect location to ski Sugar!

So thrilled to hear that the home met your needs. Thanks for notice about the access to the basement room.
Property was nice, but literally had to go through the cluttered garage to get to the downstairs bedroom and game room. It discouraged family from wanting to use it.

Thanks Robert for sharing. We were thrilled to hear that you found the home to your liking. Regarding the access to the downstairs bedroom we are looking into that area for any ways we can improve that area and make it a bit more inviting. Again thank you for sharing and we hope for a return visit in the near future.
Very nice cabin in sugar mountain. Very spacious, nicely decorated, but a bit outdated in the bathrooms especially. 2 of the 3 full bathrooms have a old school tiny tub with a very tall side. Very hard to get in and out of. That is the only thing that kept me from giving a 5 star.

The house is beautiful and well-kept. Great outdoor deck with plenty of comfortable seating and an outdoor heater. The hot tub and pool table downstairs were a huge hit! The house is a very short drive to the ski slopes. Would definitely recommend!!
We stayed just 3 nights during the summer. We would’ve stayed longer if we could! The cabin was very well appointed. Comfortable, clean linens, plenty of towels, kitchen was well stocked with dishes, pans, etc. My favorite part of the cabin was the back porch! Such a charming place to spend time outdoors enjoying the view and the fabulous temperatures!
The property was perfect for our needs. Four golfers for a long weekend each had our own bedroom, multiple bathrooms. The great room and deck were great for hanging out...
I took my wife and a some friends for a long weekend celebrating my wife's birthday and we loved everything about the cabin. It was clean and had been sanitized when we got there. There was so much to in the area. We would definitely recommend it and would love to come back again for a longer stay
The cabin is very cute however it is much smaller in person than the pictures looked online. We had to squeeze to walk around the chairs in the kitchen/dining area. The beds were not so comfy - very hard and the linens and towels were low quality. The game room/bunk room was an add on room linked to the garage so you have to go downstairs to the garage to get to this room which wasn’t what we had hoped. Overall we had a good trip but just wished we had more room and more comfortable sleep.

Simply Amazing!
The cabin is beautiful, spacious, and a ton of fun with the pool table. Loved the artwork and overall homeyness. During a snow day, my son practiced for hours in the driveway to enforce his snowboard training down the driveway and was able to hit the slopes full force for the rest of the week. The firm beds were good for our sore skiing muscles. We had such a great time! We did break the baby shovel shoveling snow, but replaced It with a bigger shovel and fixed the right barn door to the pantry.
Suggestions: 1. Most of the pots/pans/utensils were clearly washed yet quite dirty (eggs crusted pans, greasy pots, food crusted utensils). We made a rule to hand wash everything before use and kept a pile of washed items on the island for reuse all week. 2. Master left sink is draining slowly 3. More clearly marked parking for snow season at the top of the driveway. 4. Full sized Pool cues need to be replaced or refurbished, we all ended up using the one cue. 6. Dust and cobwebs on things in the kitchen primarily. That sounds like a lot, but all small/easy adjustments during our wonderful vacation and things I would want to know if I was the owner/manager to keep it great!
Thanks again and we look forward to returning! Tina, Stephen, Maddie, Andrew, and Glo
Our cabin was just as lovely as the images show. A few minor things were tended to quickly by the rental company. It's always the television, right? At the end of our stay we provided a short list of maintenance items we thought the homeowner would like taken care of. We were up and down the mountain many times dropping off skiers. If you are looking for a lovely home with good accessibility to skiing, this is it. Lots of good sleep space, garage for equipment, etc. the kitchen is beyond “well equipped” and cabinets are well organized. The only thing we could t find were matches. The beds slept well and they were quiet. Without hesitation, we would return.
Our family enjoyed staying at this cabin. It was clean, spacious, and convenient to the slopes and shops. The views were perfect and very serene when it was snowing. Thank you for our wonderful stay!!

Great Time on Sugar Mountain
Enjoyed our stay with the kids and grandkids! The cabin was clean and had everything we needed. The kitchen was well equipped with dishes and utensils. It's a beautiful place and of course is close to skiing. The only overall complaint is that the beds are very firm! Despite that we enjoyed this beautiful cabin!
