Enter the Blue Ridge and Great Smoky Mountains and leave the commotion of the inner city, urban life to enjoy the serenity of a horse farm (you will have the whole cottage to yourself). Central to all the mountains offer. Close to several Event Venues and Asheville, NC. Location makes a great Basecamp for all the indoor and outdoor adventures of the mountains: hiking, waterfalls, ziplining, white water rafting, canoeing, and kayaking limited only by your imagination.

Located 8 miles from Asheville with exceptional local music, street fairs, history, museums, guided tours, Biltmore Estate, and eclectic downtown to shop local artists.

The barn loft overlooks the farm and is roomy with queen bed, full size sleeper sofa, full kitchen, private deck on a gated property with horses, large pond and mountain views. I live here because I love the lifestyle and know you will be entranced.

The host imposes no additional fees or charges. Any additional fees other than the listed prices are imposed by VRBO or state and county taxes. As hosts we provide clean, disinfected rooms and service, privacy and respect. In return, our guests care for and leave the cottage in good condition.

It was just what we were looking for. Away from busy. It was perfect to sit out on the deck and just hear sounds of nature. Gorgeous views of mountain. Friendly farm animals. Great host. The only downside for us, the bed was too soft and the shower a bit small. Overall, just what we were looking for in our get-away from everything.

Great location

This peaceful little place is convenient to go to Asheville and shop/explore, but is perfect to come back to. The animals are sweet and the surrounding area is beautiful. We loved our time here.

Beautiful views!!

The view from the property is gorgeous. The host was kind and friendly plus she had very cute cats and horses. The house itself is simple but what we needed for our stay and we didn’t spend much time there anyways.

Farm Charm

Wonderful location with short drive to Asheville/Biltmore area. Mountain sunrise and sunsets with a view of many animals not just the ones kept on the property. Wonderful host and easy - very easy to communicate with. Will stay again on our next visit to area.

Awesome experience

Loved the place, already told them I was coming back. Quiet, well kept and perfect get-a-way spot. Easy access to town and has everything needed as a base camp to explore area. Host is one of nicest people I’ve ever met. Instant friend.

Beautiful place, wonderful host

Our weekend stay was perfect, only wish we could have stayed longer. Laurie is a gracious host and so kind, we are so glad we got to meet and talk with her. The cottage was so nice, clean and comfortable , very peaceful and quiet, we had everything we needed and the view from the deck was beautiful . We now know a great place to stay when we return to Biltmore...Thanks Laurie

Peace and Quiet in a Convenient Location

Comfy, no frills, peaceful, beautiful, restful. We had everything we needed. Loved the horses, the cats, the pond and more. Location was easy access to all of Asheville. Thank you.

We loved your company Laurie, the animals greeted us every morning. Most importantly loved the scenery and being able to take pictures up close in personal with your horses. Perfect Momma's Get Away

We were a couple of tired local mommas looking to get away from the stress of parenting/working and COVID. This property was perfect. The owner was close by and very helpful. Just walking the road of the beautiful property a few times was also the perfect exercise. We appreciated the good pricing, especially for the quality of this rental. We will definitely be back.

Beautiful Getaway

This is a beautiful place to stay! The views are beautiful!! It’s so peaceful and quiet. Laurie, the host was absolutely wonderful. We helped her feed her 2 horses and donkey at feeding time. Just a wonderful person to talk to. She makes you feel welcomed. And makes sure that everything is good at your townhouse. We will be going back! It’s perfect for a couple’s getaway!

A little piece of heaven

While visiting Asheville we decided to stay near mountains. We were about 13 mins away from main area. As we were driving we had our doubts but when we turned onto road the view was magnificent as it was from the deck. Thaw apartment was perfect, ambiance lovely and the offer for fresh eggs from host was delightful. It was hard to leave.

Disappointed and dissatisfied

Property was not what we expected. It was essentially a room above a functioning stable. The smell of the barn did fragrances the room so we had to make a hasty retreat. The bedroom linen seemed old and unhygienic. The towels and wash rags left much to be desired. We could not stay in such conditions and spent the time elsewhere.We wish for a refund.

Location great, but we were disappointed

The positives of this place are the location and the horses. Beautiful view and very cool interacting with the horses. That said, we were disappointed with our stay. Two main reasons: 1) The bathroom trash can was full from a previous guest and 2) There were spider webs in the bedroom. Made us wonder what else is the place hadn't been cleaned properly. We left after the first night of our three night stay.

Wonderful Sojourn

You couldn’t find a more kind or gracious host; thank you, Laurie. The farm affords beauty, serenity, and blissful quiet with the resident horses, cats, and donkey providing fun to be around. The loft is always clean, comfortable, and plentiful with the awesome deck that invites chill with a good read and stargazing afterwords. Choose to drive any direction from the farm, and trailheads await. Hikers’ paradise. A twenty minute drive will drop you in the heart of eclectic downtown Asheville. Ashevegas awaits. I so appreciate the recharge, and I’m already looking forward to my next visit.

Nice and a few bits of info

The property is as described and Laurie was great. The adorable cats were at the door, anytime the curtain was open, begging for attention. Eeyore, the donkey is so darn cute too! Just a few helpful things for others to know tho. There was no hot water to the bathroom faucet, but not a big deal to us, we just used the kitchen sink. The shower doesn't have enough hot water for two showers in a row. The first step leading up to the condo is a little loose, but again, not a big deal to us. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend.

A little bit of heaven

Our host was wonderful-full of information for us. Felt like staying with a friend. With the North Caroline mountains surrounding us at the cabin. Staying above the barn with the horses below was a wonderful experience. We are now so spoiled. Motel/hotel rooms are not a vacation. Being allowed to share where someone lives because they love it is so different then staying in a motel/hotel room with all the coming and goings of people. I can't say enough on how much we enjoyed our stay. We will be back often. When we left to check out the area we couldn't wait to get back to sit out on the patio and watch the birds, horses & donkey roam around the field. If you want peace and quiet it's here and if you want to go hiking or checking out the mountains/etc it's close by too. Olga Rita

Overall we had a great stay at the barn. It was very clean, had everything we needed, and was a beautiful and peaceful property. Loved watching the horses and donkey every morning and saying hello to the friendly kitty. Our only feedback is the beds (full size bed and sofa bed) were not very comfortable and very squeaky but we still enjoyed our stay.

Cozy Base For Mountain Adventure

This place is perfect for a family of four. The listing is spot on, the directions/instructions are very helpful, and the owner is wonderful. This spot is perfectly situated to go into Asheville or see the surrounding area. There are two sweet horses and a precious donkey. You can pet them or just watch them. The owner is very approachable and is a wealth of knowledge and insight. Would definitely consider staying here again.

Rejuvenation Spot

I am always so fulfilled and grateful for my time here. Laurie is a fabulous host who provides such a beautiful and serene mountain country experience. Far enough from Asheville to be so quiet and close enough to run join whatever activity you prefer. Hiking trails in any direction a short drive away. Always one of my must-do activities includes sitting on the large deck looking out at the mountains, countryside, horses, requisite farm cat, and my personal favorite, Eeyore, the all-watchful donkey. I always leave trying to figure out how soon I can return.

Absolutely breath taking and relaxing

I have been to many VRBOs and I have to say this is one the is at the top. If you’re looking for a place to relax and be away from everything and just let the world go this is it. The grounds are absolutely breath taking with the horses and pond and it is so well maintained. The rental is very clean and comfy with all you need to just stay in and relax. The owner was wonderful and so kind and accommodating. I can’t say enough about our stay and this place and we will be going back for sure.

There is a two week maximum stay. There is a minimum tonight stay but I highly recommend at least a four night stay just break the surface of how much there is to do here.
