Bass-kin on the River was such a great property all around. Michael is a stellar host with great communication and you can tell he is invested in making sure you have a great trip. The house was exactly what we needed, with a great view up and down the river and plenty of activities on property provided by the host. Will definitely be coming back!
Bass-kin on the River is so cozy! We got up every morning to a beautiful sunrise and drank coffee by the water. We fished (caught catfish, redfish and some kind of fish we had never seen before!) we spent one day kayaking and it was so peaceful and beautiful. We enjoyed downtown Fairhope, ate at broken egg cafe for brunch, Gambino’s one night for dinner and Tamara’s for dinner all recommended by Michael and it was all delicious. Michael is a great host and really thought of everything you might need and had everything written out with suggestions of things to do. We had a wonderful week of just relaxing!
Overall, the cabin was great! We were in the middle location wise with many different cities to go shop and eat. We went to Fairhope, Spanish Fort, Daphne, and Foley all while staying at this cabin! All was within a 20- 30 minute drive. The shower head kept falling while showering, but other than that the cabin was great for our stay.
Lovely little cabin. My husband and I stay in tiny cabins all over the US when we travel and we both noted this to be one of our favorites so far. We were lucky it rained while we were there so we got to experience just how cozy this cabin is. Everything you need to stay in or go out on the water is provided. We kayaked down to the restaurent nearby and loved sitting under the cabin in the mornings to watch the diving pelicans while drinking our coffee. Will be back!
Our host was amazing. Made the entire stay fantastic and accommodated us arriving an hour early when we miscalculated the time zone change. Took a kayak ride on the river and we were able to fish right of the riverbank. Would highly recommend staying here!
This is our 2nd time staying here. The hosts have been excellent both times. Great location, perfect for kayaking, and easy fishing. If you're looking for a location near downtown Fairhope and close to the gulf, this is your place!
This is a great place to stay for a relaxing getaway. Everything you need for hours of fishing, kayaking, and sitting around a campfire is at your fingertips. Fairhope and the surrounding location provide endless activities.
Super cute place! Loved the area under the house and really just everything!
