Family Atlantis Vacation

Well...it definitely was off to a rough start. We were told to arrive early and we would basicallt have the choice of our room. Not true. We arrived on property around 10:30am and didn't get into a room til almost 4:30pm. Mind you no one was there when we arrived and the lobby was empty when we finally got to our room. The entire lobby filled with checkins and we seemed to be the last to get our room. To me if we arrived 1st get our room ready and cleaned before you clean the rest of Harborside. When getting to our room it seemed very hot...yes the air conditioning was broken. Then we noticed our drinks thst we put in the frig were not getting cold...yes the frig wasnt working either. THESE ROOMS NEED TO BE INSPECTED AND IN WORKING ORDER BEFORE YOU PUT PEOPLE IN THEM! Especially when you are paying 10 grand for a vacation! Then we were put into one of the buildings that had the fire which I requested not to be placed in prior to leaving for our trip, concerned for our safety. We eneded up staying in that room one night. I complained the next morning again to be placed in a different building. We were accomodated then but our 7 person party was split into 2 separate rooms. 2 bedroom lock off and then another down the hall. Not ideal but doable. The room was nice. It was comfortable, not much of a view but we made the best of it. After that we had a great vacation.

We are truly sorry to hear about your frustrating start to this trip. We completely understand how upsetting it was to wait so long for a room, only to find the air conditioning and refrigerator not working. That’s not the experience anyone expects—especially after such a significant investment. We also want to clarify that you were not initially placed in the buildings you wanted to avoid. Both the Owner and agent called the resort prior to your arrival to request you not be assigned to Buildings 4 or 6, due to your concerns about past fire alarm issues. That request was taken seriously and relayed ahead of time. I understand you asked multiple times to be moved once you were on site, and while the resort accommodated that, we realize being split into two separate units was not ideal. Please also keep in mind that while our agency handles your reservation on behalf of the Owner, we don’t control room assignments, maintenance, or on-site operations. That said, we take your concerns seriously and have already reached out to the Owner to advocate on your behalf. Despite the rocky beginning, we are glad to hear you were ultimately able to enjoy your vacation once settled in.
