Serenity Mountain Retreat is a beautiful sprawling cabin located on over 500 private acres sleeping 18 people. Set between two mountain peaks, this beautiful cabin has all that you will need during your visit to the Great Smoky Mountains. The view from the great room is outstanding with the floor-to-ceiling windows, luxurious wrap around sectional sofa facing the gas fireplace.

Serenity Mountain Retreat has room for the whole family with a master bedroom that boasts a beautiful king-sized custom log bed, and guest rooms that range from queen sized beds to bunks that will accommodate up to 18 more than comfortably. The game room includes a pool table and ping pong table, and the laundry room is outfitted with a full-size washer and dryer, so no one waits for their winter clothes or summer towels and goodies.

The homeowners of Serenity Mountain Retreat are very family oriented and spend a great deal of time outdoors. Their wish is that you and your family will enjoy this beautiful mountain home and respect it as if it were your own. A lot of love and care has gone into building their family retreat, the owners invite you to bring your family here for rest and relaxation and to enjoy the beautiful mountains that surround the property.

Enjoy the wooded and mountain view while relaxing on the deck, in the hot tub or out at the fire pit waiting for the steaks to cook on the gas grill. Hours of entertainment will be had with the HD Satellite TV, Wi-Fi. Serenity Mountain Retreat offers central heat/AC, gas burning fireplace, Wi-Fi, Satellite TV, hot tub, gas grill, outdoor fire pit, and plenty of parking.

Please note this property is not pet friendly. Unauthorized pets on property will incur a $300 per pet penalty. The approach to the driveway is paved, with a moderate incline and sharp turn into driveway which is gravel. Access to the property will require all wheel drive / four-wheel drive and snow tire chains if there is snow or ice during the time period you have chosen. We recommend that you frequently check the internet to stay informed of the weather and travel conditions. The ability to get to and from the property is the responsibility of the guest and is not provided by the homeowner. Large vehicles are not recommended at anytime. Must be a minimum of 25 years old to rent.

Serenity Mountain Retreat is an excellent location to explore the area. Mere minutes away from Lake Junaluska Conference Center & Golf Course, Waynesville, and Maggie Valley makes Serenity Mountain Retreat a great location for skiers, the mountain adventurer and peace seekers.

Located within a 15 minute drive are the historic Downtown Waynesville, scenic Blue Ridge Parkway, Cataloochee Ski Area ((known for being one of the first ski resorts in the US to open each year), Tube World (snow tubing), Wheels Through Time (a historic motorcycle museum featured on History Channel's “American Pickers”), Ingles and Publix Grocery Stores, Walmart, and many great restaurants, local micro-breweries Boojum Brewery and Bearwaters Brewing, craft shops, and boutiques.

Within 35 minutes are Asheville and the Biltmore Estate & Winery (America's largest and most visited privately-owned home), many great restaurants and micro-breweries, Cherokee, Harrah`s Casino, Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Pisgah National Forest, several golf courses, Bryson City (home of the Great Smoky Mountain Railway and “Polar Express” during the Christmas Holiday), Transylvania County (home of the most waterfalls in the United States), and hundreds of antique shops.

Within a 45-minute drive is Hendersonville where you can visit Sierra Nevada Brewery (with an enormous dining Tap Room), gem mining, white water rafting, zip-lining and much more.

Just under 1 hour away are Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, Tennessee (home of Dollywood).

New years family vacation
The property worked out great for our family. We had six adults and five children. There was plenty of space for all of us. We all enjoyed the fireplace in the living room, which kept us cozy on the cold nights.
