We enjoyed out stay in East Marion. There was plenty to do between the town of Greenport, the local wineries and Orient State Park beach. The property owner was very responsive to any questions that I had.
Great location in East Marion, in a quiet neighborhood with a private street-end beach. Nice comfortable cottage, with a lovely porch where we spent most of our breakfasts and dinners. Bill was a very responsive, helpful host.
Clean, had everything you could need. I didn't have to call and ask for anything host answered all our questions before arriving check-in was a breeze great location, private yet close enough to downtown it was just a couple minutes in the car. Took the ferries over to shelter Island and South fork reasonably priced to take the car on ferry. Would stay at this home again.
This cozy cottage is refreshingly rustic and homey and tastefully decorated, not all re-done with new materials and gussied up with cute stuff. It’s located in a real neighborhood away from the busy main road – no street noise and very little traffic. The house is small but the big screen porch really enlarges the usable space. The large back yard has beautiful shade trees and extends far back so there are no neighbors behind the house.
The kitchen is well-stocked with pots and pans and all the cooking utensils anyone would need. The beds are firm and super-comfortable; one mattress is extremely firm. The many pillows have different levels of firmness. The bathroom is nice and updated, with good towels and plenty of them. It’s a small space though and the shower stall is rather cramped, even for an average sized woman. A large person might not be comfortable on the toilet either.
The three window air conditioners kept the house comfortable even though it was pretty hot outside. There’s an abundance of sunlight in the main living area making this a cheery little cottage. The old wood floors give the place great character; the couches and carpets have seen some living.
This cottage is probably not a good choice for someone expecting impeccable cleanliness and new furnishings. But for those of us who don’t mind a few cobwebs in the corners this is a wonderful, peaceful and relaxing place to stay. Be sure to bring your own coffee – I didn’t see any.
Thank you for another great stay at your cottage. We love spending time on the back porch which is so quiet and peaceful. It is so convenient to swim at the beach and watching the egrets find their sleep nest every night around sunset by the bridge is so fun. The North Fork is the best for great farm stands and great restaurants and fine wine.
A quaint, simple, cottage. Lots of shade, a little smelly, but nothing all that bothersome (could have been the scent of the cleaning product). It met our needs just fine (two adults, two small children). We are low maintenance, but if you like a big bed, firm pillows, comfy couches, and an average to large shower, this space isn't for you. Shower is very small, beds were small doubles, and there are no closets. But again, if you are not fancy, this is a fine cottage and the location is great.
Amazing Location great for families.
We recently stayed for a few weeks with our 2 & 1 year old. There is a private beach within walking distance as well as other beaches in the area. There is a park with a play set down the road 5 min drive. The pond on the way to the beach always had something new to show the kids. We even saw a bald eagle!
The covered inclosed patio was my absolute favorite kept the little ones safe from bugs and contained. The owner is a wonderful man and catered to our every need. If there was 6 stars this location and home would get it. Must see.
Our time in East Marion was everything we hoped—-relaxing, swimming, biking, eating local food. The house is in a great location to enjoy all the North Fork has to offer and Bill, our host, is very accommodating and attentive. Thank you for our wonderful stay.
I stayed for one week with my 3 1/5 year old daughter. We loved the cottage and the surrounding area, perfect for strolling or biking around. Bill is an excellent communicator. Thank you!!
We spent one week and we had a great time! The house is lovely and fully equipped. William was beyond nice and he also fished for us! We absolutely recommend it
Everything was great! Property and scenery were so beautiful and house was completely spotless! Had everything I needed for a great trip. Would highly recommend for a getaway!
The cottage offers a perfect break from city life, ideal for a family and ideally situated near the beach. The owner went out of his way to make us comfortable, going as far as to pick us up from the Hampton Jitney stop during a heavy downpour.
I wanted to take my niece, 10, away on her school break with her friend ... in Covid where to? We live in the city - 2 hours away we had our answer - East Marion. Owner so accommodating - property was all it said it was - we bundled up and took walks - the girls played in the yard - and then it snowed ! A farm was open and I purchased the most amazing produce - July tomatoes in February. Greenport was minutes away and provided us with shopping opportunities - an old fashioned diner for breakfast - and a chance to feel as though we had been away while being so close to home. A cottage for all Seasons.
We loved staying at this cottage close to the bay and Marion Lake. On morning and evening walks we observed swans, egrets, many types of birds as well as deer and wild turkeys. The house was well equipped, our host was very attentive and neighbors were all friendly. We biked to Orient and found great dumplings and ice cream at Opties and Dinghies. A very fun and relaxing stay! Thank you.

Great location and lovely.
Clean, very comfortable beds, a fully staffed kitchen, ceiling fans, and a great screened in back porch with a large table and comfortable chairs. Gas Grill. Great location: within walking distance of a beach and driving distance to other wonderful beaches, restaurants and an fantastic Audubon walk to an inlet. Only caveat: the sleeper couch mattress wasn't any good so the third family mbr had to bring a blow-up mattress. The owner luckily pointed that out, and was very helpful on everything. Lovely street.
