Rustic Modern 1BR in Sunny Seabright

Our place is a unique style duplex with this 1 bedroom ( 633 sq ft) unit located at street level while the other unit sits above and is a 3 bedroom. Both with separate entrance. If there are guest staying above you will hear foot steps and water. We ask those guests to be minful of footfall. The apartment has an open floor plan with newly remodeled kitchen which opens up to the living room area. It is very comfortable for 2 guests, or a family of 4. To accomodate extra guests, there is a folding bed with memory foam pad and/or 18" queen size auto inflate air mattress. New bathroom and tub with grab bars installed. The bedroom has a king size bed, sits at the opposite end of the space, near but not connected to the bathroom. Our beach place has been in our family for over 50 years and although we have always found it cozy, a recent remodel adds extra light and comfort, very enjoyable. We love that you can hear the roar of the Big Dipper Roller Coaster, the shouts from the riders, barking sea lions and the occasional crashing of the surf. Also walk to the Beach and Boardwalk and to our favorite restaurants.

Kindly leave shoes out front. I encourage you to bring a pair of indoor shoes. This helps keep our place better sanitized.

I am the one of the 2nd generation of family vacationing in Santa Cruz. First my grandparents who immigrated from Italy came here for their vacations bringing my father and his siblings. Though my grandparents and father are no longer here, the tradition lives on in our children and theirs. We enjoy the place being near the Boardwalk and walking down to Seabright beach. The biggest change in the neighborhood is the addition of some amazing restaurants, Tramonte's, the Brewery,
(now the Seabright Social) Betty's Burgers, Enfar Pizza and La Posta. As a child those did not exist, only Days Market and a hot dog place. (Days is still there!!!) As a teen, my friends who had families that vacationed on the beach in Aptos would always stay at our place because of the easy access to all that the Boardwalk has to offer and because often in the summer there was sunshine in Seabright.

Why they chose this property

Those who have been staying at our place over the years say that they love it because of the location and comfort. They like walking to the various interest points, (wharf, harbor, light houses) restaurants, bars, or getting around on a bike is really fun. They enjoy sitting out on the patio or relaxing inside. The neighborhood is usually pretty quiet unless it is the summer and people are there to vacation then there is a lot of fun energy. We love that we are close to the Boardwalk but not right down next to it. Crossing the newly remodeled train trestle over the San Lorenzo river is a short distance. You can still hear the Big Dipper Roller Coaster, barking of sea lions from the wharf, and when the surf is right, the crashing of the waves.

What makes this property unique

The keyless entry is nice so that you don't have to worry about sharing keys, losing keys. You can park a car off the street or in the carport. Of course again, the location is great being so close to everything fun in Santa Cruz. Since our family also enjoys the place, we try and keep a variety of amenities available that are for your use as well. Our place has been completely remodeled to make it aesthetically pleasing as well as comfortable, with all new furniture, lighting, kitchen, bathroom, flooring.
