Your space is modern, clean, and caters to the new generation of adventure travelers. We are remote without being remote. Come indulge in privacy will having all of the modern amenities you might need.
Guests have the entire glass-front cabin to themselves. There is also a shared sauna and firepit on property for guest use, as well as garden beds (feel free to use in your evening cooking in the summer months!). Private beach access across the street is also available to our guests.
Matt and KellyAnn are available to answer guest questions and provide recommendations for activities in Seward. The cabin includes its own personalized lockpad for self-check in, so guests do not need to interact with the hosts if they prefer privacy.
We want your experience to cater 100% of your needs, so we are available as often or as little as you'd like.

About the host
Hosted by Matt and KellyAnn Cope

We met in San Diego and have always been drawn to salt water. We left in exploration of more things wild: mountains to climb, waters to kayak, trails to run, perspectives to encounter. We spent 3 years on the road, living out of our car and exploring North America’s public lands and communities, stumbling upon spaces, places, and people who inspired us and ultimately sharpened the pencil that created Salted Roots.
Seward won our hearts, with mountains, the ocean, and a national park right in our backyard. Alaska is wild - wild enough for us vagabonds to settle down roots… and then naturally the idea for Salted Roots sprouted. We bought the land in 2017, were married there shortly after, and began throwing together our future plans for the project with close friends. Our community helped us clear the land, build this website, and make our vision a reality.

Why they chose this property
Situated at the head of Resurrection Bay on the Kenai Peninsula, Seward is one of Alaska’s oldest and most scenic communities. Nestled between Chugach National Forest and Kenai Fjords National Park, come experience trophy sport fishing, glacier and wildlife cruises, sailing, hiking, kayaking, flightseeing, summer dog sled rides, and more.
What makes this property unique
Our services are pre-emptive, honest, attentive, humble, and modern. This is high-tech, high-touch. We seek to provide a new canvas in the way of hospitality. We are reinventing the concept of Alaskan tourism. We aim to inspire, to change people’s mind, and to give back to the community that continues to inspire us. Cue the music, start the campfire, grab the whiskey, bring a friend, share a story, and stay as long as you’d like. We’re here to start the revolution.
