About this property
Come to Asheville! NEWLY REMODELED & Only 4 Mins to DT AVL, Dog Friendly, FP
Matterhorn Chalet is a spacious luxury chalet nestled in the treetops in downtown Asheville. Enjoy the updated main bathroom and the fabulous all-new European-influenced kitchen makeover. The owners have spared no expense in making this the perfect vacation home right in the middle of Asheville.
The open floor plan is perfect for small gatherings, the many windows give an outside treetop feel to the living space and you can cozy up to your gas fireplace in the living room.
Relax, rejuvenate, and experience downtown! Gaze at the mountains from the gated porch and stroll through the quiet neighborhood with your dog.
Enjoy a special treat and reserve this one-of-a-kind chalet in downtown Asheville.
NOTE
THIS IS A NON-SMOKING/VAPING HOME.
No grill at this home.
This property is 1.3 miles from the heart of downtown but we would recommend transportation since it's not walk-friendly.
ALL mountain roads can be steep and dark at times. They may be daunting to an inexperienced mountain driver. The Matterhorn Chalet is located in a quiet mountain subdivision on a circular one-lane road. Although it's a short road with street lights, it is tight, steep, and curvy. Please try to plan your arrival during the daytime if you are intimidated by mountain roads.
WINTER
Please note that we do experience snow on occasion. The HOA does a great job of keeping the roads scraped but they only scrape after the snow ends. So, please be aware of the weather and know that there is the potential for snowy weather. Please plan accordingly.
PARKING AND MOUNTAIN ROADS
Parking space is limited to two vehicles. You can park in area next to house walkway or along the fence. Pull frontend of car into the spots.
The mountain roads are sometimes steep and sometimes curvy. The neighborhood roads are narrow and curvy so please use extra precautions when driving through there.
No smoking, vaping, or candles.
Must be at least 25 years old to reserve this property.

About the host

Bob and Lynn are from the Blue Grass state of Kentucky. They have visited Asheville for over thirty years. They fell in love with Asheville upon their very first visit.
They always stayed at the same home - Lucerne Chalet. So, when the owner decided to retire and sell the home Bob and Lynn rushed to purchase it.
We at WNC Realty & Rentals were very fortunate to be asked to manage this home as well as the Matterhorn Chalet (also listed here on Vrbo) for them.

We at WNC Realty & Rentals were very fortunate to be asked to manage this home as well as the Matterhorn Chalet (also listed here on Vrbo) for them.
Why they chose this property
After many years of owning various homes at the coast Bob and Lynn jumped at the chance to purchase their dream homes - Lucerne and Matterhorn Chalets. They visit Asheville four or five times a year and they say they are sad to have to leave.
What makes this property unique
Location, location, location.... Matterhorn Chalet lets you know that you're safely tucked away in the mountains but you're only a few minutes from everything that downtown Asheville has to offer. The best of both worlds!
