I’d like to provide clarity for future guests who may read this Your original reservation at another property was cancelled last minute, and you booked my villa immediately afterward—unfortunately creating an unintentional double booking for your first night. I notified you as soon as I saw the conflict and offered two options: 1. cancel the reservation entirely or 2. stay in an alternative villa for the first night and then transition to my villa for the remaining nights You chose the second option, and I arranged the alternate accommodation within minutes so your vacation could continue smoothly. Throughout your stay at both locations, you and your group expressed appreciation for how quickly the situation was resolved. We also agreed that I would refund the price difference between the two villas for the first night. That amount was $1,638.87. After your husband later requested $4,000, I still offered to increase the refund to $2,000 in good faith, even though it exceeded the actual difference. When I did not agree to the full 4k demand, I was told a “scathing review” would be posted and that VRBO would be contacted. VRBO is now involved to ensure a fair and accurate resolution, which I fully welcome I take pride in being transparent, responsive, and committed to guest satisfaction. I’m glad your vacation continued without disruption and I remain confident that the full record reflects the care and effort put into hosting your group

First, I am happy the villa was all you anticipated and more. I cherish all my guests and strive always to provide a professional, honest, and respectful service. I am also a straight-up and practical person who believes in treating everyone fairly. I regret you feel the way you do and your stay was not what you expected. I wish you and your group were more financially capable of affording the excellent add-on services you booked. And as such, you would not have had to resort to the unwholesome means and methods you attempted to secure the services. You booked a roundtrip VIP service online from the airport to the villa for $386 but refused to pay a similar VIP service provider $850 for two round trips and a one-way trip. After you accused the driver of not giving you the price upfront, he reduced the bill to $650. A simple Google search would confirm that the price for VIP services in the Turks and Caicos Islands is $25-$30 (plus 12% tax) per person one-way and could cost more depending on the distance, stops, and waiting times. You refused to pay the driver and quit responding to his texts and calls. It got so terrible that he started bombarding me to get to you. If you were unsure of the price, you should have inquired before taking the service, not after. You took advantage of the driver's trust in you as my guest. Otherwise, you would have had to pay at the end of each trip, and we would not have been here. The driver informed me that he would report the matter to the Police. So, I visited the villa around 7:00 PM and spoke with you and Yollette. You were checking out the following morning at 10:00, so this was my last opportunity to resolve the issue. During our talk, I told you you should pay the driver asap and asked how much you were willing to pay. You said, "I will have to talk with the girls." I haven't received a response. I further stated that if the matter escalated, it might not be favorable for you since you already enjoyed the services and the rates were reasonable. You had no justifiable reason not to settle the account. You flared up and accused me of making a subtle threat. I respectfully disagree and advise that I'm simply trying to save you and your friends from unnecessary embarrassment. Your direct accusation of my conspiring with the driver to jack up the price is far from the truth. Kindly recollect from the beginning, I advised you that taxi and VIP transportation costs are costly and suggested you rent a car, which you refused. I offered a budget option, but you wanted the most expensive option. I was disappointed Errol involved the Police, but I guess he saw no other recourse to recover his earnings. Three Police Officers and Errol's boss (the founder of VIP Services in the Turks and Caicos Islands) came to the villa. For the Police to visit a private villa at that hour of the night means they had good reasons. The Police told you to pay the driver. It is embarrassing that you guys could have only found $400 of the $650. It is unacceptable that in this 21st century, you and seven females are going on a vacation and booking services you cannot afford. Regarding the toilet paper issue, I'm at a loss for words. A standard amount of toilet paper was provided, Yolette requested more, and I provided it. Your concern about me "listening in and watching the cameras while we were there and he would repeat certain things that was never mentioned to him directly" is unsubstantiated and meritless. I had one conversation with you, which was strictly about the driver. Did you mention something about the driver on camera? I don't think so. Please note that I am the proud owner of a reputable property management company and The Babbington Villa. My schedule doesn't allow me the luxury of wantonly watching and listening to you. The cameras are for guest protection and are reviewed if there is a significant issue at the villa. You left the villa in a terrible state; the kitchen was full of garbage and dirty dishes, and every bedroom had a lot of garbage. Someone's vomit was on one of the beds. You could have left the place in much better shape. Overall, you could have had a much better experience if you were honest and forthright and did not add on services you could not afford. Property managers and owners are constantly battling this new and emerging trend.
