The Space:
The Villas at Poipu Kai is a boutique resort that offers access to a pool & hot tub, a 24-hour fitness facility and clubhouse and 8 tennis courts. A quick walk through the manicured grounds will lead you to the white sand of Shipwreck Beach and Poipu Beach. Voted “America’s Best Beach” by the Travel Channel, this protected cove is perfect for snorkeling, swimming and even surfing!

An elevator opens directly into the penthouse which boasts 4 bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms and luxury finishes such as granite countertops, Sub-Zero appliances, and Travertine tile flooring. Enjoy your morning coffee on your sprawling 675 square foot lanai with ocean and mountain views! Unwind while grilling your fresh catch at one of the poolside barbecues.

If your quest for adventure brings you to Kauai, the options are endless. Hike Waimea Canyon on the west side of the island, called the “Grand Canyon of the Pacific” or cruise up to the Napali Coast where Jurassic Park was filmed. If you wan to see it all, book a private helicopter tour to take in the views of the tropical rainforest and cascading waterfalls.

-FITNESS CENTER & CLUBHOUSE : This fully-equipped fitness center includes an assortment of free weights and cardio machines!

-TENNIS COURTS: Reserve one of the 8 tennis courts (2 grass and 6 hard) through our property manager. Hours are 8 am – noon and 2 pm – 6 pm.

The Neighborhood:
Our residence is located in the prestigious Villas at Poipu Kai community. 

If you are a golfer, you can play at one of the many courses in Poipu. 

If you and your family would prefer to spend the day at the beach, you can walk through the immaculate grounds to either Shipwreck or Brennecke's beach. You can rent snorkels, book scuba diving tours, or just enjoy a sunset sail.

Families, groups of friends and couples will all find a wealth of activities and adventures in the area. You can enjoy drinks on the beach, hike the Makauwahi Cave trail, go to dinner overlooking the ocean in town or relax on your lanai.

The Island of Kauai, nicknamed "The Garden Isle", offers many activities for the adventurous traveler. You can explore Waimea Canyon, visit the Napali Coast or just spend a day at one of the many beaches the island has to offer.

Everything was as advertised! There were 8 of us and had plenty of room to gather together as well as privacy. This unit sits between beaches only a short walk, each beach had its own interesting features, turtles, restaurants and cliff trails. We really enjoyed our time! Mahalo

Great spot

Overall, a great place and location. We had a hard time finding the location initially via Google maps, it sent us to 2 nearby locations first. The host was great to help us find it though. The bunk bed room does not fit grown adults so we had to shift our setup a bit. But ample space for everyone still.

The penthouse was well equipped and comfortable for our family. We walked to both beaches and enjoyed the pool. The garage had great amenities for the beach including a beach wagon which was very helpful. Our only minor issue was with the tv in the master. It never allowed us to watch any local channels and the remote for cable didn’t appear to work. Also, given the size of the Master a small dresser would be a nice edition.Overall, great location and wonderful accommodations!

Great Stay in Poipu

We had a wonderful stay for 7 on our girls trip. The grounds and unit are well maintained and the property is within easy walking distance to Poipu, Shipwreck, and Brennecke’s Beach. We really appreciated the early check-in. We would stay again.

Superb Penthouse

Location is perfect! The view is great from this penthouse. It is decorated nicely - very beachy modern. You cannot hear any noise from neighbors. The environment is calm and peaceful. It was well stocked and included the beach chairs, umbrella, and snorkel gear. It was hard to leave.

Perfect for families!

We absolutely loved our stay here. Would recommend 100 percent. It was spacious, beautifully decorated, well stocked kitchen, conveniently located. Loved the available bikes, beach toys, boogie boards. The home could use a few more beach towels and bath towels as there were not as many available as advertised but the washer and dryer were great so it wasn't an issue to wash and reuse each day. Thanks for a lovely stay!

Wonderful location, wonderful space

What a beautiful condo with plenty of space! Very comfortable for our five person group. We are every meal on the lanai and relaxed there in the afternoons. The location was awesome, right next to the pool, which we spent hours in every day. It was a perfect pool for our kids who are seven and 10. Heated to an excellent temperature even for us older folks. :) And so close to the beach which we walked to most days.

Villas at Poipu Kai

Traveled with my husband, and 3 young adult children. Location was great, the villa was spacious with plenty of room for all of us and well equipped for a great time on Kauai. My only complaint would be that both times I emailed the “ concierge “ with question prior to arrival and on arrival, I did not receive any response. Fortunately, this did not detract from a wonderful trip and great accommodations .

A perfect stay in Poipu beach area!

This place is amazing for multiple couples or families. We had 6 adults, a toddler, and baby. This place offers plenty of privacy but also an awesome living space and main lanai. We had many dinners together. Everything you need is available in the huge kitchen! Sunsets in the master were breath taking! We walked to the beach every day. Saw sea turtles every day! Poipu has the perfect beach for littles! The walk is through a garden. Very safe.. lots of restaurants and neat shops nearby. Is ladies walked to nearby Hyatt to use their spa for the day. We took a drive to the North shore with lots of stops and were home by dinner time.. We cant Wait to come back!!! Thnaks for the great space!

Best Week in Kauai!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Poipu. The unit was lovely and spacious. The outdoor living space was wonderfully furnished and lended to a great week. Location and grounds were gorgeous, quiet, and peaceful. Unit was wonderfully equipped! Property manager was so kind and quick to help with grocery deliveries and AirPods that were left behind. All in all, it was a beautiful place to make lasting family memories and celebrate my parents 50th wedding anniversary! Thank you, thank you! For the price, we were disappointed in the bed linens and the dirty carpet and living room couch. These would be simple fixes, and for the price we do generally expect a but better other areas.

4 out of 5 starsGreat Location with Some Room for ImprovementWe recently stayed at this condo during our trip to Kauai, and overall, we had a good experience, though there were a few drawbacks worth noting.Pros:The location is excellent—within close walking distance to Poipu Beach and several others, as well as a nice selection of restaurants. The grounds are beautifully maintained, and we really enjoyed the pool and hot tub, both of which were clean and in great condition. One very convenient feature was the elevator that opens directly into the unit, which made bringing in luggage much easier. Parking was also stress-free, and check-in instructions were clear and easy to follow.Cons:Unfortunately, the condo was not fully cleaned when we arrived—trash had been left in the unit, and there were towels still in both the washer and dryer. The carpet was in poor condition—matted down and stained. The shades in the master bedroom didn’t retract evenly, and the balcony off the master was extremely hot and noisy due to the A/C condenser fan, making it nearly unusable.We also encountered a few maintenance issues: the remote control batteries were dead (we found replacements above the dryer), the balcony door lock was difficult to operate, and the ceiling fan in the master only worked in reverse. That room also stayed much warmer than the rest of the unit—likely 5 degrees higher—and the A/C wouldn’t cool below 72F. The pillows were forNeed more room to complete review!

The penthouse was the perfect vacation rental for our family! It is in a great location near 2 beautiful beaches with the green belt walkway making it a short walk. It was clean, roomy for our group of 7 adults and 1 child and had everything we needed including beach chairs, umbrellas and boogie boards as well as a beach wagon.We loved the elevator opening into the penthouse.Kristen was very helpful with answering any questions and even got us an early check in. We truly enjoyed our stay in Po'ipu. My siblings and spouses had ample space for dinners together and also wuiet space for reading and viewing incredible sunsets!!! The only issues that we encountered were dead batteries in the entertainment devices and only having one lanyard for pool and elevator access. With a residence set up for possible 8 people, multiple lanyards would have been nice.
