This quintessential forest cabin is an idyllic, romantic getaway for two — whether you’re hiding from your to-do list or seeking adventure on the mountain. Every detail of this sweet, cozy space has been updated and upgraded, while adhering loyally to its classic, vintage cabin roots. Its compact 600 sq. feet (read: it's small) have been designed for comfort. An efficient kitchen offers all the tools you'll need for your cabin-cooked repasts, including a gas range, dishwasher, microwave, toaster oven, and fridge, enhanced by handmade ceramics and quality linens.

The cabin is warmed by a radiant floor heating system and modern Morso woodstove. Wool throws on the couch encourage cozy snuggling by the fire.

The bathroom has heated artisan tile floors and the toilet features a Toto e-washlet. You'll also find a washer/dryer available for your use.

Up the hand-carved staircase, you reach the bedroom with layers of linen sheets, pillows, and blankets enrobing a high quality, queen-sized mattress that might tempt you away from all your plans for outdoor activities.

Entertainment options abound: Urbanears WiFi speakers allow you to stream your favorite music. A select collection of literature and games are on hand. A TV in the bedroom streams movie and news channels via Roku. And there’s reliable and super fast wifi.

Notes: this cabin might not be great for small children and guests with mobility issues. The stairs to the bedroom are open and steep! We leave that to your judgment. We also don’t allow pets.

We LOVED this cabin! The beautiful details, the lovely location, sauna, handmade ceramics - all of it! The stairs to the loft are a bit wonky, but this is made clear in the listing overall an amazing stay.

Among the trees

Wow, we loved this place! Such a cozy cabin with sweet touches. We particularly enjoyed sitting by the fire and utilizing the sauna stepsaway, having pizza on the clean porch, and settling into the master which felt like we were sitting in the trees. We had such a relaxing, serene experience!

Wonderful Getaway

We loved this cabin the moment we walked in the door! The cabin is well appointed, cozy, and inviting. The glass-fronted wood stove, radiant heat floors, walk-in shower with a forest view, comfortable bed (again with forest view), and the river trail were all highlights. We can't wait to return!

Peaceful, quite.

My wife had to Facetime the entire place to share it with family she liked it so much. I was great for 2 people. Quiet and relaxing setting, fairly close to hiking/outdoors. We would stay again.

Great getaway.

I went to the light cozy cabin with my wife and had a great experience, the only thing I regret it was not staying there longer. Next you the Sandy River was amazing and the sauna makes the experience when better. The owner was reachable and the place had everything we needed, including Netflix and Max, in general it was a great experience and we will do it again.

A gem in the forest

Don’t let the word cabin fool you this place was furnished beautifully, high-quality everything. So cozy! Radiant floor heat and a wood burning stove. We rarely left the livingroom.

Quiet and private. A unique place! Clean and comfortable. The stairs were not a problem for us but be aware that you have to go down them at night to use the bathroom.

Adorable Fairytale cottage

This house is so adorable and full of charm! Like a little fairytale cottage tucked in the woods. The location was perfect for our weekend getaway and hiking trip. The communication with the host was excellent! The welcome guide was a great source of info & very much appreciated as 1st time visitors to the area. Highly recommend this listing for couples. The loft stairs can be a challenge if there are mobility issues though.

Surpassed our expectations

My boyfriend and I stayed at this cabin for our anniversary and it was beyond anything we could have imagined! You can hear the river from the cabin and at night it’s very peaceful and quiet. We enjoyed having our morning coffee and some breakfast. We had even brought sushi one night and forgot to bring chopsticks and our host actually had some! She literally had everything. The walk down to the river was only a couple of minutes and we recommend walking further down alongside it so you can get a little closer to the shore. We didn’t get to use the sauna because we we’re almost never there during the day, but everything was so lovely and cozy. We would love to stay here again some time. Thank you for everything!

Perfect, peaceful getaway

This cabin was something else! From the moment of pulling in the driveway, you anticipate something special. Inside was incredible. The details were amazing. This was a legit cabin hideaway. The structure, the architecture, the shape, the space everything was Beautifully done. The cabin was incredibly clean, which was so appreciated! The host was incredible with communication and was quick and responsive. We had one little hiccup with one of the space heaters upstairs, but there was another one inside the cabin that did great as a back up. The only thing that we can think of that would improve our stay was the sleeping pillows. When we were getting ready to go to bed the first night, we couldn’t figure out where the actual pillows were sleeping were. There were the pretty ones on the bed, but there wasn’t any behind them. We found one tucked away on the bench to the left of the bed, but we could not find any others. We finally realized that maybe two of the ones on the bed that were more like shams were maybe supposed to be for sleeping. It was not the texture of a pillowcase or much of a pillow, but we had to make do with those. That was the only thing that was a little bit off. We would’ve loved to have comfortable pillows to sleep on after a long day of hiking. Everything else was magical and perfection!

This little gem was everything I had hoped for our anniversary getaway. We had everything at our fingertips. All the spaces were extremely comfortable, and dinner for two in the little kitchen was perfect. We got away, unplugged and enjoyed natures beauty.

The fans, creaking floor and other noises disturbed the peaceful nature of the setting. The cabin is adorable and well appointed. The stairs were beyond steep. I didn't consider myself to be limited mobility, but now I do.

This was hands down the cleanest property I have stayed at to date for any app I have used. This was also the most accurate listing! This place is a MUST! The bathroom is straight out of a catalog, and the rest of the place gives you rustic instagramable outlook post vibes to die for. The bed is SO comfortable and warm. Waking up to view the first out the windows and listening to the river was awesome. We went and got a coffee up the road, and lit a fire outside as it was warm and sunny. Absolutely perfect.
