The apartment was large and accommodated all our needs. The location is fabulous. However… the entry to the building needs serious updating. Even a coat of paint would help. The listing said there was television….. nope. All that was available was Netflix. A long stay, like we had, really would have appreciated television access. The host is very accommodating and friendly. Easy to work with and fast with reply’s to questions etc.

Great flat in an old building

We stayed in the flat for 10 weeks. The first impression was of the front entrance from the street into the building; it is a disgrace, embarrassing, needs cleaning and paint badly. The elevator is also bad; needs cleaning. The flat itself is quite nice. It was clean and well appointed. The flat is quite large and very comfortable; it is quiet especially when you consider that it is a the heart of the Gothic Quarter. There was plenty of storage for all your clothes. The kitchen was fine and well appointed. The only disappointment in the flat was that one bathroom could not use toilet paper; it was usually just the two of us so we managed. It could be more of a challenge if there were more guests. I would stay there again, especially if you need or want to be in the Gothic Quarter. A bit of spackel and paint for the common areas would make the entire place so much better.

With regards to the communal areas in the stairways and entrance to the building unfortunately these need to be voted on by the whole community when prioritizing the expenditures which means it is not in our control (we vote every year in favour and hope that soon it will be done). In the meantime, we obviously do our best to keep the flat which is in our control in great condition and decorative order. With regards to the toilet you mentioned, it is equipped with modern washlet bidet system which means you can wash and dry with the press of a button and without the need for any toilet paper and which is very ecological and environmentally friendly. Once again appreciate your stay at our place and hope to see you in the future.

Excellent Apartment with great location

This apartment is excellently located in Barcelona with only a short walk to the beach, La Rambla and metro if you wish to travel further. The apartment is very luxurious and comfortable. On arrival we were met by the property manager who explained all the ins and outs of the apartment and helped with any of our queries. We were very pleased with our stay and would highly recommend the apartment

Amazing Stay in Barcelona!!!

Our stay at Ciutat Vella was more than we could have asked for!! The property manager is extremely responsive and accommodating. The apartment was absolutely beautiful and had great amenities: modern appliances, washer/dryer, hair dryer, large comfy beds, extra towels, wonderful dining area, etc! I especially appreciated the large beds as that is uncommon in Spain. The living/dining area was perfect for eating together, studying, and playing games. I could not have pictured a better apartment for our stay. The location too was excellent!! It is close to the beach, close to the main Las Ramblas street for shopping, within a 5 minute walk to multiple forms of the public transportation (metro & bus), and on a main walking street that we always felt completely safe! Myself and 4 others stayed here while we studied in Barcelona for the semester and we all agree that we would recommend this place to anyone looking for a long-term stay in Barcelona. Hopefully we will be able to return some day soon! Thank you so much, again!!

Apartamento confortável, bem equipado e localização excelente!

Eu, minha esposa e minha filha ficamos hospedados neste apartamento por um mês. O apartamento e muito confortável e tem uma ótima proteção acústica. Todos os aparelhos funcionaram perfeitamente, internet rápida e smart TV com Netflix. A localização não poderia ser melhor, pois fica no Bairro Gótico, entre as Ramblas e Barceloneta. Muito próximo do Port Vel, Praia de San Sebastia e Ramblas. Na frente do prédio ha um supermercado, taxis passando a todo o momento e uma infinidade de restaurantes com todos os tipos de cozinha. Também ha uma loja de aluguel de Scooters ha 200metros na Avenida Laetanea. Na entrada e na saida havia uma pessoa nos esperando e nos passou todas as instrucoes de forma clara e objetiva. Agradeço ao Sr. Hicham, dono do imóvel, o qual nos deu toda a atenção quando conectado por email.

Absolutely AMAZING!

My friends and I couldn't have been more satisfied with our stay. The house was even more beautiful and spacious than the pictures show. The location is absolutely perfect, 5 min walk to the beach and right between trendy Born and the Gothic area. You can pretty much walk anywhere! Perfect house for couples, as the beds are very comfortable and big, and the showers are also great. Also, a perfect living room/kitchen area to host dinners or have pre dinner drinks. Unfortunately we did'nt get to use the fireplace as it was summer, but if you go in winter that will be a welcomed plus! I would definitely stay again in my next trip to Barcelona.

Wonderful apartment in great location!

The apartment was wonderful. It was extremely clean, plenty of room and filled with what seems like all new furniture. It was in a very good location in the gothic quarter, walking distance to the beach and many sights. Also very close to a metro station - for longer commutes.

Well appointed, modern, clean. Excellant location

Simone &Ryan met us at the apartment. They provided a brief tour and reviewed operating the TV and air conditioning. This allowed us to become acclimated quickly. The bedrooms were spacious, clean with excellant linens. The living spaces were all open and allowed us to enjoy coffee, drinks and conversation. We were 3 couples and had plenty of space. Easy walking to many major sites. We enjoyed the waterfront and marina. Also a faily easy walk to Plaza de Catalunya where many tours organize from there. There is a market right across the street that had wine, beer, cheeses, ham and baguettes for quick snacks. We also went to a small but great tapas restaurant just up the street called Sensi. We would definately choose to stay here again. It gave us a true opportunity to experience living in a historic neighborhood . Even though our stay was short we felt very immersed in the city life.

Location, Location, Location...

The apartment was amazing....we did a nine day Madrid and Barcelona trip and this was our Barcelona location. We had stayed in Barca before at the W which is amazing but it is sort of off the beaten path. This Apartment is right in the heart of the gothic district, with a 2 min walk across the Vie Laintana to the El Born area or a 5 min walk to Las Ramblas. You can literally spend 5 days exploring those three areas and see something different every day. The place was amazing with views of the streets and port from the master. The dining/living room area was very open, well lit and a great conversational space after each day's travel. The rooms were nice, heating and cooling worked well. I would give it 5 stars but the plumbing in one of restrooms was the type where you could not flush toilet paper which was not what I would expect of a bathroom in an apartment of this level and price range. No other complaints...everything was amazing.

Regarding the restroom, this was a recent modern addition to the property. As often is the case in historical buildings there are technical limitations that made it impossible to extend standard plumbing and so we had to use modern pump solutions to enable us to have this additional restroom. In order to compensate any inconvenience to the guests we have equipped both bathrooms with top of the line japanese bidet with a built in washlet and dryer in order to minimize the need to use toilet papers and also as important to be good to our environment. One of the best places we have stayed at!

We stayed at this beautiful apartment for one week. We were a group of 3 couples, and we thought the apartment was very well priced and offers a much better value then booking a hotel. The apartment is done to an extremely high luxury standard, and kudos to the owners who clearly have put a lot of effort to make the place feel a home away from home for their guests. We have searched for a few other hotel options in the same area, and we quickly discovered that opting for an apartment to accommodate our group is the best option both in terms of money saving and in terms of convenience. The apartment is quite spacious and spotlessly clean. The bedrooms are much bigger than the standard hotel room. A big plus for us was the interior which is furnished impeccably and some of the modern amenities available are not even offered by 5 star hotels (eg Japanese toilet seats/kitchen appliances etc). Above all, the best thing was the location which is walking distance to all the main attractions. It’s right in front of the port of Barcelona and at the corner of el barrio gotico. We rarely had to use any taxis as everything was walking distance (Las Rambla/Barcelonetta/El Born/Beach etc). All in all, it was a memorable stay and we would like to thank the apartment manager for making this a wonderful stay for us. Marco

Trés bel appartement et bien situé ! ! !

Trés bel appartement entièrement refait à neuf, prestations haut de gamme, très design, bien insonorisé, et superbement équipé, accueil et service professionnel et ponctuel . L'appartement situé au 4 eme étage est un peu sombre car dans une petite rue, seule la chambre principale en pignon de façade bénéficie même d'une vue sur le port et d'un bel ensoleillement. L'éclairage des autres pièces est suffisant quand même ! Un éclairage performant avec variateur et changement de couleurs dans le living est des plus réussi. Bravo au concepteur. Toutefois, il vous faudra traverser les parties communes qui elles par contre sont dans un état très médiocre, dommage, mais j'espère que bientôt des travaux de rénovation seront engagés. Ce serait vraiment dommage pour ce magnifique appartement. Il est particulièrement bien situé, prés des Ramblas, de la cathédrale, des axes commerçants, du port olympique et de tous les restaurants Bref ... Je vous le recommande ! Great Location

The property manager, Rebecca, was awesome!!! She was very accommodating, professional and helpful. The property was very conveniently located at Las Ramblas with all the best restaurants, open market, and fun places. The property was also very clean, spacious, comfortable, and quiet.
