More bugs than anticipated. Spent the first 30 minutes killing 2 wasps, a gigantic spider, and 10-15 stink bugs. After that, the apartment was good.

I would rate our experience as a 2.5/5 mainly due to cleanliness. The place was easy to find and we never felt unsafe so that was a plus.Property had an odor of cigarette smoke when we arrived and we found the windows were left open to help air out the apartment. Owner apologized and mentioned that a previous guest may have broken the rules and smoked inside the apartment.Cleanliness:We found stains and holes in queen bed sheets, popsicle wrappers on the floor in the twin bedroom, a dripping oily stain on the wall in the twin bedroom, dust and dead bugs on and around the refrigerator, shower was gross looking, and we found coins on the floor where it had not been swept. Overall, the property really needs a more thorough cleaning between guests and a regular inspection/replacement of linens.

Absolutely gorgeous property tucked away in the picturesque mountains of Virginia. We loved our stay here!! The property was perfect for our family of 4. We were a super quick commute to Shenandoah National Park, lots of places to eat and so many beautiful wineries. We would love to stay again!!
