About this property

SERENITY IN THE MOUNTAINS - Private-view-convenient-unique-hot tub-ev charging

This cabin has been used for numerous honeymoons and anniversaries. In addition, there have been at least 3 weddings performed in the cabin. On the other hand, it has also been used as a retreat when families have lost loved ones or to escape from an otherwise stressful life.

Enjoy the wildlife and mountains while relaxing in the rocking chairs on the back porch. In cooler weather, relax in front of the fireplace & enjoy the beautiful mountains through the floor to ceiling glass wall in the main living area. You can also relax in the whirlpool tub in the master bedroom or the hot tub on the back porch (the main picture was taken from the hot tub).

The cabin is on 2 1/2 acres of land and very private. From the living room sleeper sofa or recliner or from the back porch rockers or hot tub, you see no other cabins/houses, just the woods, wildlife, and Brush Mountain in the distance. Fall foliage is spectacular!

The master bedroom has a king size log bed, flat screen TV, DVD player, and whirlpool tub. Adjacent to the bedroom is a full bathroom with shower/tub combination. The shower features selections for waterfall, rain fall, front spray, or hand wand.

There is 1 step up to the front porch & another step up to the main part of the cabin which has the dine-in kitchen, master bedroom .

The dining table & benches are red cedar handmade by a friend in Northport, AL. There is a locally made birch tree lamp in the main living area. Other lamp shades feature artwork of the Hautman Brothers who are wildlife artists with works in Smithsonian and the White House.

There is 1 step down from the main floor to the back porch which has the charcoal bar-b-que grill, rockers, & hot tub.

The 2nd bedroom & full bathroom (shower/tub combination) are located in the loft. It features a Hautman Brothers bedspread and lamp shade plus a locally made cedar lamp and locally made bear theme night stand. There is a flat screen TV, XBox 360 with video games & board games.

The living room is equipped with a 49" Roku TV with DVD, so movies and on the Roku channel are free. If guests have subscriptions to Netflix, Hulu, etc. they can use those supscriptions on the TV as well.

The master bedroom & loft bedroom have flat screen TVs with DVD players. DVD movies and books are provided for your enjoyment and relaxation.

All the attractions along the Parkway in Pigeon Forge are only about 5 - 10 minutes away, while Dollywood and the national park are only about 10-15 minutes away. Snow skiing, Ripley's aquarium and museums are about 20-30 minutes away in Gatlinburg.

We have added an EV charging station for those with electric vehicles/hybrids. To use the charging station, contact the owner. There is a 1 time $50 charging fee for unlimited charging.

Very nice and secluded location just minutes away from Pigeon Forge. Very quiet at night and very cozy home. My daughter loved everything about it, especially the hot tub on the back porch.

Excellent Place to Day Dream

What an awesome little spot Day Dreamer is! We really enjoyed our stay, and the communication from the host was top notch. The cabin and amenities exceeded our expectations. Plenty of space for 2 adults and 2 teenagers to spread out, but still be close enough that it was actual family time spent together. The location was far enough out of town to enjoy peace and quiet, but close enough that it wasn’t a long trek to get back to Pigeon Forge or Dollywood. You’re also far enough and through enough trees that you aren’t looking at any neighboring cabins. The only slight on the neighborhood is it can be a little sketchy coming up the winding hill, as there isn’t enough room for two cars to comfortably pass each other. But that’s just a small knock. Overall we enjoyed our time, and hope to stay again someday!

Great Cabin

We had a great stay. The cabin was not far from town but yet up the mountain. The cabin was very cozy and the hot tub was awesome on the cold nights. Andy was a great host! We will definitely try to stay here again. Thanks Andy!

Cozy mountain retreat

We had a wonderful stay at the Day Dreamer! The mountain cabin was exactly as we had hoped...rustic charm with a lovely view and all the updates and amenities you would need. It is in a great location! Not far from the hustle of all the Parkway has to offer but also just a short drive to the more scenic, quiet and beautiful areas of Wears Valley and Townsend. We loved having Day Dreamer as our home base for the week!

Cozy. Nestled in the mountains. Clean. Road to get to property is treacherous with no room to pass another vehicle. Driveway is tricky. Nicely kept cabin. Really enjoyed back porch and hot tub. Liked not having another cabin right next to us.

Summer vacation

The cabin was perfect for our family. Great location to all the attractions but secluded enough in the mountains. The pictures on the website do not do it justice. It is a beautiful place. The owner and property manager were available if we had any concerns or questions. I would choose this location again if we come back to Tennessee.

Short but wonderful

The property was very cozy and had some Christmas decorations. The outside jacuzzi was hot and ready for my teenage kids to use as soon as we walked in the door. The location was fantastic, close to town, attractions and hiking. The owner was kind enough to suggest various hiking trails, which we did take advantage of. Overall, definitely recommended! Only wish we had 1 more day there. Next time!!!

Smoky Mountain stay

This is a cute little cabin in the mountains. Very clean inside and out. Owner gave specific instructions on how to enter the driveway to make it easier to leave. Roads are steep and dark, so be careful. I had a small car was fine. Owner called to inform me of when maintenance was coming and pest control was coming. Owner is very sweet and sent lots of things for you to do on your vacation stay. I would definitely book here again.

Spring Break 2019

Our family enjoyed our stay very much! The cabin was clean and comfortable. We got in late at night and went straight to bed the first night. Our daughters enjoyed the hot tub. Your kitchen table is gorgeous! We didn’t have any major issues that warranted being reported during our stay other than the plumbing under the kitchen sink came apart, which my husband was able to fix. We tried to use the garden tub for our younger girls but found that there was no plug for the drain, again, Mark came up with a temporary solution. Thank you for having wasp spray available we had a few creep into the loft. At first I thought you didn’t have many dishes so we got some paper products until the last day when I realized the dishwasher was completely full of dishes. Some were still pretty soiled so I put them back in and started the dishwasher before we left. I hope they came clean. The washer and dryer were a lifesaver. It was a great trip. Thank you!

Beautiful. Cozy. Perfect

Andy has a beautiful cabin towards the top of the hill of Penny Way. I recommend a 4x4 car or truck. I took my 2017 camaro up this drive. Though I made it no problem, it would make it a lot easier if I had a better car for the drive lol. The cabin smells VERY clean as you enter through the front door to a beautiful kitchen and living space. The light switches will be a little confusing at first but that adds a fun little twist in my opinion. The view doesn’t match the pictures too much right now because the trees are a bit tall and have their leaves but I still enjoyed it all nonetheless. The hot tub worked great and the grill is wonderful. The shower in the main bedroom doesn’t get too hot but it’ll keep warm for a good amount of time! The cabin is about 10-15 minutes from town where you can experience so many things! We went to the Farris wheel, a restaurant called the Timberwood Grill (HIGHLY recommend this, and its RIGHT next to the Farris wheel (about $30 for 2 and 3 slow spins to enjoy a wonderful view of the smokies). There is so much more I could say but this is definitely going to be a regular spot for my gf and I in Tennessee. We loved every moment of the experience with the cabin, and the town. Thanks again Andy for being such a wonderful host! Hope to be back soon!

No mountain view like what was advertised, very over grown trees. Driveway was very steep with very loose gravel. Playing russian roulette everytime you leave or come back. Foundation for deck was eroding so bad where deck was leaning excessively. Hottub was on the deck and stepds too hottub were not in safe spot with railing. Very disappointed. Messaged owner before posting my review, with pictures.
