About this property

Tranquil villa just steps from the beach!

Our Windswept Villa is located just a short walk down the path from Kiawah's world-renowned, 10 mile-long beach! The setting is tranquil, and very "Kiawah". We love the beauty of the coastal shingle-styled buildings nestled in the natural setting that draws most of us to Kiawah Island in the first place, and has captured our hearts forever. We enjoy stepping out each morning with a cup of coffee for a walk along the beach. Later in the day we can take our beach chairs and a book and relax next to the ocean. At some point each day we hop on bikes to explore the island along the miles of bike paths that wind through the forest and past amazing seaside cottages, and architecturally stunning mansions. We love that we are not rushed. We know to take our time and enjoy the peacefulness and beauty of the island for our short time here. There are no crowds EVER. Even over the busiest holidays, we are pleasantly surprised by how few people are sharing our little vacation experience. There is no other place like it! License # RBL20-000232

Clean and modern condo so close to beach

This property was well maintained and stocked with everything you could need for your stay. The owners were responsive to questions and the proximity to the beach path couldn't have been closer. It really was literally a 2 minute walk from our spot on the beach back to this property. We especially enjoyed the woodsy deck. It was also very close to Freshfields Village. We recommend this unit to anyone looking for a comfortable stay super close to the beach.

Wonderful Vacation Destination

The villa was perfect for the two of us. It had everything we needed and truly was steps away from the beach, which we enjoyed every day. The owners made the whole process very easy and were very responsive when I had a simple question. We look forward to visiting family there again and hopefully staying at this property if it is available :).

2nd time here!

Very relaxing and soothing stay at this clean, well appointed villa! Tom is so wonderful to communicate with and has kindly put up with my vrbo snafu’s! We had just lost our very cherished cat 3 weeks prior to this planned getaway and coming to this villa and the 2 minute walk to the healing ocean vibes was just what we needed for our grieving hearts. Thanks Tom and Ann and hope to come back again!

Getaway with my oldest daughter

Villa was perfect for our stay. Steps away from the beach and was super cute and clean. Weather didn’t really cooperate with us but it was still a super fun trip with my kid. Tons of linens, towels and kitchen supplies. We rented bikes and it was an easy yet invorgating ride to Freshfields where we hit Java Java most days. Would stay here again..

Convenient to the beach

This villa has a great layout for a couple or small family of 3 or 4. Well appointed kitchen made meal prep easy. King size bed was super comfy. The roll out couch has a memory foam type mattress and was comfortable for our 9 year old. Nice large bathroom and shower. Toilet is in a separate space which is nice. The villa is only a few steps from the beach! Tom stayed in touch with us throughout our stay. Great week and would definitely recommend this villa!

Great Island Stay

This villa was just right for a few days away from it all. Such an easy walk to the beach and right beside the bike trail. The deck was a lovely place to sit and read or have meals. It's so convenient to have an in-unit washer and dryer. The bed was comfortable. It was great to have access to the storage downstairs for our bikes. Backpack beach chairs provided. AC and heater both work very well - we had some weird weather (It was March after all.) and used them both during our stay. We couldn't ask for anything more. We will be back!

Relaxing week on Kiawah

Enjoyed our stay on Kiawah. The villa was nice. Updated kitchen and bathroom. Everything we needed, although I didn’t do any cooking. We ate our meals at Freshfields. Close walk to the beach, which was very nice. We had 3 or 4 deer in our parking lot in front of the villa one evening. I saw a pool in the park close by, probably in walking distance. However, there was one thing that I can say, the livingroom furniture could use an update in my opinion. The couch was fine but the side chairs was really not comfortable enough to spend anytime sitting in. I brought a chair from the deck in to use while watching TV and it was much more comfortable. Overall, I was an enjoyable experience. Host was nice and friendly.

We have been vacationing on Kiawah for more than 20 years. After visiting many "typical" vacation communities with my family over the years, we discovered the unique vacation experience of Kiawah in 1998, and fell in love. Although we live in Omaha, NE, we have been coming here ever since.
We have 4 children, and we stay in a 3 bedroom Night Heron Cottage when we come as a family. We bought this villa in 2018 and rented it to guests through the Kiawah Island Resort for the past 2 years. However, we found that the resort management did not provide a high enough level of vacation experience for our guests, to justify the inflated prices charged. We want our guests to feel that they have a wonderful vacation, as well as a good value. So...we have taken over control! We hope to have many happy guests who want to come back to Kiawah year after year like we do!

This is such a great location, with proximity to the beach without having to cross any roads! This villa is all about the beach and the beauty of Kiawah!
