A relaxing retreat from everyday life, Whitefish Cabin is equipped with everything you need to have a peaceful getaway! Sit in the hot tub surrounded by trees, enjoying the sound of nature, sit on the comfy couch and watch satellite tv, or play a family board game around the large dining room table. Just steps away from river access! Fish and wade and swim to your heart's content!

This cabin features a queen bed, a king bed, and a twin-sized daybed in the common area to sleep 5 people in comfort!

Located right next door to another property- Rustic Retreat. Rent both together to sleep 9! Great for large families!

PLEASE NOTE: There is wi-fi here, but due to the rural area,it is satellite, which means it may not be very strong and/or reliable depending on weather and other factors.

Please Note: The access to the river is a shared area with neighboring properties.

Pet Fee $100 per dog ( No Cats) max 2 dogs

Please take your trash with you. There is dumpster access at the Shenandoah River Outfitters (very close to the property). The house manager can take them for a tip of $5 per bag, if you would prefer.

A separate security deposit is required for this property. Please feel free to ask us if you have any questions—we are happy to answer them!

Beautiful getaway vacation

Disconnect to reconnect!

My family booked this cabin after spending a month revolving around different out of state travel plans and it was the absolute best place to be able to relax and sit down and talk and enjoy each other with no phones. The kitchen was lovely and had everything I needed to cook our Thanksgiving meal as well! Property manager and hosts gave quick responses to my initial questions upon arrival. Can’t wait to come back in the summer to go on hikes as well!

Weekend Getaway

Whitefish cabin is a lovely place to getaway. Located within roughly a 20 minute drive from Luray and one of the Shenandoah mountain entrances. The hot tub was clean and worked well and the firewood was well stocked. Cabin was clean and the property manager was responsive. We would go back!

Cozy, clean and peaceful stay!

We enjoyed our weekend stay at this cabin. The rental is a great place is you’re looking for a quiet getaway in the Luray area. The cabin was comfortable and well decorated, clean and better than advertised. Private backyard area to enjoy a fire or the hot tub. The cell service and Wi-Fi can be a little spotty but that is to be expected when you’re in an area such at this. Close walk down to the river and a drive into town to grab groceries or get to the caverns is not far.

Cozy Cabin!

We definitely enjoyed our weekend at the cabin. It has everything you need to create a relaxing and fun filled weekend. It’s well stocked with basic supplies, comfy beds, fun games and very clean. We enjoyed the shorts walks from the cabin as well as and the easy access to GW forest and Luray for longer outings. It would be fun to return during the fall and enjoy a bit more of the patio, firepit and hot tub!

Great cozy location

The location was wonderful and felt very comfortable. It was very clean. I was pleasantly surprised that condiments were there, although I brought my own. There were a few items needed from a maintenance perspective but that did not take away the awesomeness of the facility. I informed the owners since I wanted to make sure to identify my observations to them. They were very responsive to emails that were sent. I would go again for a getaway location.

Amazing Getaway

We had an amazing trip and loved whitefish cabin! The beds were comfortable and the place was really clean and well managed. Enjoyed the fire pit and the hot tub during the evenings. Close to Luray caverns which was one of the highlights of our trip. We will definitely be back for a relaxing getaway!!

Few day get away with my best friend of 27 years.

Me and my asked about checking in a little earlier that the listed 3pm, via email. Got a prompt response of being able to check in at 1pm. Which was perfect for our drive time and being able to relax and eat after the long drive. We absolutely loved the whitefish cabin, very clean, everything worked. Very cool decor throughout the cabin. Hot tub was nice and hot, lots of Firewood stocked on the property even tho we brought our own. Very relaxin place, kitchen had everything we needed. Comfortable clean beds. The shower worked great. We already started planning our next trip for early summer at the whitefish cabin. Highly recommend this place. .

Lovely Thanksgiving

Our little family enjoy a quiet stay, hiking in Shenandoah and George Washington National Forest, and visiting Luray Caverns. We were thrilled our fur baby could join us too. We had everything that we needed.

Vacation

Overall thr experience was great. Cabin was beautiful inside and clean. We built a fire and sat by it every night and enjoyed the view. Bugs/mosquitos were not bad. Weather was too nice and not quite cold enough weather for the hot tub. Would definitely rent this cabin again.

Amazing!

The stay was awesome. I love the open kitchen to both living rooms, with the bedrooms are apart from each other for privacy. The hot tub was amazing! It was hot n ready when we arrived. The place is clean throughout. Overall my friends and I had a great time here.

Great stay

We had a great time at the cabin. Pictures do not do it justice! Our host was very helpful and allowed us early check in as well as a late departure to allow us to enjoy Luray caverns. Enjoyed all the puzzles provided by the host and especially enjoyed the fire pit. This is a perfect getaway cannot recommend it more!

Adorable!

My husband, daughter and I stayed at Whitefish Cabin for a few days to do some hiking. First of all, Shenandoah Rentals was very accommodating when we had to change the dates of our stay due to jury duty (of all things!). The cabin has 2 bedrooms and one bathroom, with an additional daybed in the living room, and a wonderful glassed-in sunroom area where we spent a lot of time! The kitchen area had a fair amount of countertop, with a moveable island there as well. There was a nice dining area and a fairly large entry/laundry area. The cabin is clearly well-cared-for. There was a fire pit that we didn't use but had plenty of outdoor seating, as well as a hot tub. There is even a little path down to the Shenandoah River. It is off the beaten path-- we had to drive about 30 minutes to enter Shenandoah at Thorton Gap-- but that was exactly what we were looking for!

Such a nice place

My husband and I had originally planned to come with another couple for a getaway. It ended up just being the 2 of us, but it was a wonderful trip. The fireplace, hot tub and all amenities were just as described. We loved just sitting on the twin pullout in front of the fire. I will be recommending this cabin to our friends and I’m sure we will be back.

A gem

Perfect location surrounded by trees, walkable to river for boating, enjoyed jacuzzi and nearby Shennandoah park for hiking. Very clean, all necessary appliances in kitchen were there for cooking. Definitely want to stay there again.

Enchanting Weekend

Myself and my boyfriend stayed the weekend at Whitefish and it was wonderful. It was charming, the fire pit and hot tub were probably our favorite things. The location was quiet and the surroundings beautiful. We would love to stay again in the future.

Whitefish was a well-kept cabin that had everything we needed

Beautiful property. Secluded and quiet and close to the river. The inside was cozy,warm and beautifully decorated .The cabin was well stocked with everything you could ask for. Bathroom must have been recently remodeled as it was wonderful. We didn’t, use the hot tub but it was available. Hammock , fire pit fire wood were all available. Family room walls were all glass looking out to fire pit area and a couple of relaxing chairs. I definitely would rent this beautiful place again. Saw mommy and baby deer every morning through the Glas wall at the back of the family room.

The perfect cozy cabin!!!

This cabin was by far one of my favorites, it’s very cozy and clean. We had everything we needed from the kitchen and the hot tub was so relaxing! The cabin was also nicely decorated, so it was a great weekend getaway. We will definitely book it again!!
