It is on the hills above Sergeac—a typical village in the Périgord Noir region, located in the canton of Montignac-Lascaux—that you’ll discover the “Les Hauts coteaux de Salon” house, nestled in a private hamlet.
The house, set in the heart of a 20-hectare private estate, enjoys an ideal location. It is situated in the centre of the “Golden Triangle” connecting Les Eyzies (home of Cro-Magnon man), Montignac (the Lascaux IV caves), and Sarlat (the medieval town).
This air-conditioned 19th-century home has been completely renovated using local materials. An interior designer helped us select the colours and furnishings to offer you a 95m² space full of charm and sophistication.
We welcome you with a basket of local specialities upon your arrival so you can sample the delicacies of our region.
Early risers may be lucky enough to spot some deer that will keep you company during breakfast.
During the day, you can relax in a private, heated 4.5 x 11-meter pool with a spacious 100-square-meter terrace made of exotic wood, all while listening to the gentle chirping of cicadas…
In the evening, enjoy the house’s terrace while sipping a drink with family or friends as you watch the magnificent sunset.
Both bedrooms are equipped with 43-inch flat-screen TVs.
The “Hauts Coteaux de Salon” house enjoys a prime location. Perched on a hilltop, it overlooks the Vézère Valley. The property’s 20 hectares offer an exceptional view and lend this place a sense of calm and serenity.
Below lies the heart of the small village of Sergeac, bordered by high cliffs at the foot of which numerous prehistoric sites have been discovered—sites that can still be visited today.
The presence of this ancient heritage, the proximity of the river, and the picturesque and varied terrain of this valley—combined with beautiful scenery—make for very enjoyable hikes along well-marked trails set amid extensive woodlands and a wide variety of vegetation.
Don’t miss the typical, friendly farmers’ markets in the various surrounding towns.
