Lake Hideaway Fishing Cabin Come enjoy some quiet lake time at Lake Hideaway Log Cabin. This quaint log cabin was originally built in the 1800's and has been renovated to meet today's standards and conveniences. You will be immediately drawn to the large fishing lake behind the cabin. Over two acres, this private, fully stocked lake is every fisherman's dream! Its beauty and tranquility are breath taking. Catch and release fishing.
Come sit on the dam and cast your line - the fish are biting! Whether you have come to catch some catfish, bluegill and bass, or just come for a taste of nature. Springtime is beautiful. Lake Hideaway will have you returning year after year.
Nestled in the woods, far away from any roads or outside noises, Lake Hideaway's only neighbors are the deer, birds, and other wildlife you may see on a nature walk. Smack dab in the middle of 50 acres, and surrounded by trees, privacy is yours for the taking.
Once you enter Lake Hideaway, you will see the beautiful oversized logs in the eat-in kitchen. This fully equipped kitchen is one of the largest rooms in the cabin, allowing for more than one cook. Just off the kitchen is a full bath.
The living room offers a spectacular gas fireplace and a television with satellite. The cabin also provides a large collection of books for your enjoyment. Is there anything more relaxing than reading a good book by a fireplace? Also, just off the living room is an open bedroom with a queen sized bed and a futon perfect for little ones. As you head upstairs to the open loft, you will find a queen sized bed. The ceiling is low, so watch your head!
As you go out the back door just off the living room, you will enter the sunroom overlooking the oversized lake. This is a fantastic spot to eat your lunch, or simply enjoy the many birds that flock to the bird feeders. Just outside the sunroom is a grassy area with a picnic table and dinner bell. What a view, overlooking the lake, and further, looking into the woods, nothing to stand between you and the many wonders of nature.
Lake Hideaway is only 15 minutes to downtown Nashville, yet one of the most secluded properties in Brown County. Come see why Lake Hideaway is not only a special place, but a truly special experience.

This is a rustic cabin. Thoroughly enjoyed the lake. Porch back porch was a wonderful place to have coffee. Bed was comfortable. New couch and loveseat was perfect addition. Would stay there again.
Secluded Cabin, private lake, really nice getaway!
Really great old cabin that offers privacy and seclusion. Your own personal lake with great fishing (we caught bass and blue gills, but also saw massive carp). Good communication from Hills O'Brown rental company. Property as described. Two things that would make this property better are better lighting inside the cabin (it's very dark) and WiFi (cell service is almost non-existent).Will definitely be renting again! The kids loved it.

We are so glad you had a great stay with the kids. We appreciate you trying a different cabin for next visit.
Thank you.
My family loved spending time here. The cabin is very clean and cute and the property it is on is beautiful. The best part is the private lake out back, it's beautiful and has lots of wildlife to see! There is a boat you can take out with supplied life vests. My kids loved taking the boat out and catching some fish! The experience is one to remember and we hope to come back soon!

We took our grandson and a friend to Lake hideaway. They wanted to do some fishing. If it’s fishing and peace and quiet you’re looking for this is the place. The love story of this home will make you enjoy it even more. Make sure you read the book on the history of this house.❤️

We are so glad you had such a great experience at Lake Hideaway. We hope you can come back again soon!
The location and outside of property were amazing. The cleanliness of the cabin left a little to be desired. Especially the bathroom disgusting!!! Dining table in sunroom gross when we got there. The furniture is so uncomfortable in the living room you can’t enjoy TV if you want we had lots of rain so that would have been nice to enjoy in the evening. The beds were very comfortable.
This historic cabin was perfect for my birthday getaway! I loved it! It is next to a beautiful lake that is private and my husband and I were able to take a boat ride which was very relaxing. This cabin sits out in the woods by this lake and there are no other cabins/houses in sight so if you are looking for a quiet place to get away this is the place! The cabin has a big fireplace that you can sit next to at night and watch T.V. or read a book. So relaxing! Nice big kitchen that has everything you might need to make your meals if that is what you want to do. Also, a nice enclosed back porch overlooking the lake makes having your morning coffee a beautiful experience. Was very thankful that the trees still had leaves on them and the colors were still very pretty which made for some great pictures! Highly recommend this place and especially during the Fall!

We are so glad you had a great stay and Birthday at this wonderful cabin. We look forward to you booking with us for your next visit.
Love the pond but poor communication, need some updates.
Storms ravaged the area night before our arrival we found out, trees down, power lines down but not once did we hear about such from manger. Road to cabin was closed, called owner but answered over 2 hours later. Thankfully found a local who directed us to the cabin. Owner had not checked to see if we could access cabin or if it had power as they asked us when called though entire area impacted by storm. Should have checked prior to our arrival & notified us about road closure. One bed had frame issues, bent & not supportive, didn’t sleep well. Then power went off at 3 am so without power remainder of night & that morning. Upstairs was stifling hot seemed air was not routed or circulated to the upstairs loft. Owner did have fans which we used that helped our upstairs guest. We were supposed to stay two nights but due to no power & the storms plus no cell service in the cabin during such conditions was unnerving so we checked out. I asked for a refund or credit for my one night since I had to check out but was told would talk to manager but don’t give refunds or credits plus entire area was impacted. Storms impacted the area but never bothered to ensure we had access to the cabin or power, never communicated such prior to our arrival and if we had not found a local, we would have been wandering around for majority of day without place to stay attempting to find an alternate route to our cabin. Pond was great, back porch was nice, stocked well with supplies

We are glad you were able to enjoy the cabin for at least a day with electricity. We understand all to well how frustrating your getting to your cabin was since most of our wonderful little county was hit so hard by the terrific winds. We did refund you one of your nights so that at least was accomplished by our staff for you. Since all communications were down in the area, including cell service, we really had very knowledge to pass on to our guest. With over 100 cabins we manage, we did send our maintenance crew to check as many cabins but most had electricity at the time of inspection and any trees they found down were immediately reported, especially since they were also volunteer firemen. We do hope you will understand our situation and come back again to stay with us.
Awesome space. Loved the outdoor setting with the huge pond. The property was great! I stay in Brown Co. nearly once a month and often go through Hill's O B for my rentals. They are always very nice.... Informative and helpful! This is a great sport for a get a way with family or friends!
