In the dining room, you will find a large table surrounded by views of beautiful Brown County through the large picture windows. Birdwatch during breakfast, or watch the sun set into the woods at dinner time.

This property also includes a private outdoor pool, perfect for days you've worked up a sweat hiking at the park or fishing at Lake Lemon. Looking for something to do on a chilly evening? At 1 Sweet Retreat, you can build a fire for s'mores in the firepit.
This cabin offers plenty of space for the entire family, including your four-legged companions, and features a newly renovated bathroom!

Along with the two bedrooms, 1 Sweet Retreat has a sleeper sofa.

Thanksgiving birthday getaway

The property was a perfect space for our small family getaway. We loved the hot tub on the cold evenings. The beds were very comfortable. My husband enjoyed watching football on the large living room TV. The kitchen was well stocked and labeled nicely. We loved our s’mores care package! Our youngest dog fully enjoyed frolicking in the fall leaves all around the property. A bonus to us was the game room with a pool table. We had a really nice stay!

Dead Carcass stench

The aesthetics were nice, but the stench from a dead carcass found later in the kitchen was unbearable. We didn’t know what the sickening smell was, avoided being in the cabin for the day, hoping it would be gone aired out by the time we returned. It was not and we could not sleep. One of our guests had to leave because it was causing her nausea. We reported the smell to the company at this point when the smell had escalated to the point of gagging and not being able to sleep. When we found the source of the stench the next morning, a decomposing squirrel carcass in the kitchen that had clearly been there before we arrived. We sent pictures asking for a refund due to these unsanitary conditions. We were given a nominal partial refund with correspondence blaming us for timing of report (due to giving it a chance for the smell to disappate), not knowing the source. Very disappointing.

Best Staycation Spot!

This was just what the Dr. Ordered! A quiet, stressfree getaway. I plan to return in the summer ! The "Sweet Retreat" was a VERY aptly named spot.

1 Sweet Retreat - Is An Awesome Retreat

Had a terrific time at this relaxing home located in a quiet private setting. Enjoyed the pool during the day and gazing at the stars at night from the hot tub. The home was well furnished and had all the conveniences in the kitchen and throughout the house. The owners thought of everything. Communication with the property manager was great. We would definitely stay here again.
