About this property

Bayfront family home w/ beach area

This open floor plan is great for spending time with family and friends. It is a split bedroom plan. Our home offers two master suites with jetted tubs, one queen size bedroom, and a bedroom with two bunk beds that are a twin/full. The large dinning table seats10. Fully furnished Kitchen that overlooks the living room. There is a sectional sofa and an additional chair with a 65 inch television in the living room to give you the at home feel while on your stay. All bedrooms have a television and the mattresses are updated every two years. Plenty of covered parking under house that leads to covered stairs. We have a lift for guest who have difficulty with stairs. There is a gas grill and a fire pit available to right of house.

The house was great. Exactly as listed. View was fantastic. The lift came in handy with my wife's parents unable to navigate the stairs. For those that are capable, the beach was only a 10 minute walk and the bay was easily accessible across the street. Beds were more comfy than expected. We spent a lot of time sitting on the porch looking out over the bay and having great conversation with family. The best part was my wife and I barely touched our phones the entire week. I wouldn't hesitate to go back and we may very well do just that. Thank you Hannah for a wonderful place to stay.

Everything was great. The house was clean and had everything we needed for a stay with my mom, grown children, and granddaughter. The host was extremely prompt in answering questions. We only had one issue with the internet and it was handled immediately. Great view of the bay from the deck and an easy walk to the public beach access. We will definitely consider staying here again in the future!

We thoroughly enjoyed our first visit to this home and island. The home had everything we needed and the view was great! We even saw some dolphins from the porch one afternoon. We would definitely rent this home again!

Great location facing the bay. Plenty of room for family, dining and games after dinner. Loved the larger tv which allowed us to watch all the new years football games. Will definitely return in the future.

Awesome place to stay on St George

This bayside property is great for a medium-sized group with lots of floor space and a big beautiful porch. It is in an oit of the way place without much hustle a bustle of the island. It was clean, well-appointed and well-decorated.

Our family loved our stay at Sea U Later! The small beach right across the street on the bay was an excellent spot to enjoy the sunset every evening. A great getaway

Our family stayed here for a week in August and had a blast! The house works out great for large groups, with everyone having their own bathroom. The only complaint we had was the lack of towels, only six bath towels and washcloths provided and we had seven people staying there. Otherwise the kitchen is nicely stocked and the view was pretty terrific!

Amazing house

We had 7 people on this trip and there was plenty of room for everyone to sleep comfortably. The living room was large open area with the kitchen and dining room which allowed everyone to mingle with each other. It has a great view of the bay and several mornings and eagle flew right past the house.. Don't hesitate to book this property. We will go back. of the bay. There is a large frontpast house.

Decent place to stay

The best part about this property is the location and bay views. There were a few issues during our stay that would have been nice to know of before booking. The refrigerator in the kitchen leaks water and does not cool when you put your items in it. The owner told us that happens when you put items in it but by morning it should be cool. I’m glad we noticed before all of our items went bad. We also had issues with the oven. The oven door was stuck on lock and unusable for the majority of our stay. We were finally able to fix it and use it, but the oven needs replacing as the door/handle is also broken. The property was nice overall but definitely needs some fixing.

We enjoyed St. George Island & home. The view was spectacular. I love the unique furniture & decor in house. It was clean, nice, and well done. Room for puzzles, games, and more. The master bedroom was large enough for my husband to turn around in his scooter, as was porch. Didn't realize bed was adjustable until stripping sheets the last morning! The house had a few issues that could be fixed inexpensively. Oven door handle came off, kids room light hanging by wires, dishwasher didn't clean dishes (we hand washed for the week), & very low water pressure in kitchen sink.My husband is severely handicapped & we assumed handicap accessible meant there would be a grab bar in shower and at toilet and the lack of these handles/grab bars made showers impossible for him with much difficulty using toilet. The elevator was amazing & much appreciated. The outside shower leaked heavily when we arrived, SIL stopped heavy flow but it still leaked the remainder of week. We used hose. The old wooden porch swing fell while my daughter & SIL were on it. She woke up to severe back pain and ended up having to leave early. She was unable to sit or walk. This was the worst part of the trip. Hannah always responded quickly which was professional & nice. Having sheets and towels available was helpful. The kitchen had every appliance and large bowl you could possibly need and the nicest convection oven I have ever seen. Overall, I would recommend the house with fixes above.

Don’t stay here

Don’t stay here unless you want no A/C in half the house, no ice maker, only one working shower and plumbing issues. The power went out and so did the internet m. We couldn’t get the wifi to come back on. The host was very responsive at first until we started noticing problems. When we let them know about the problems we were ghosted. As you can read in previous reviews you will see the same issues noted. Obviously they have not corrected the issues. Also, the pictures need to be updated to show that you are not directly in front of bay beach access. Now half of the beach is fenced off by the house in front. The guest bedrooms were so hot it was miserable. All six of us had to share one shower in the master bathroom. This was a lot of money to pay for a half functioning rental.

I’m so sorry you felt the home was this bad. As soon as the problems were brought to my attention I had an emergency plumber called and the air conditioner repair person. He noted that the thermostats were both set to 68 which over worked them causing the one to freeze up. Which was fixed immediately. The plumber let me know that he knocked multiple times with cars under the home and could not get anyone to the door. I personally made the drive down the day you checked out to see the conditions on the plumbing and all bathrooms were working fine just had low water pressure in middle shower, still comfortable/working for a shower.

We began visiting the island in 1965 when it was still a private island. We bought our property in 1997 but lived on the west coast and did not build until 2006. The house was framed when Hurricane Katerina devastated the Gulf coast. It took almost a year to complete the house but we love every detail. My favorite part of the house is the huge front porch where we watch the dolphins and manatee play. The lights of the St. George Island Bridge are beautiful at night.

Why they chose this property

The location is five blocks from downtown. It is convenient to all restaurants and shops and has a semi private bay beach.

What makes this property unique

The house is all on one level with a split bedroom plan. The two master suites have french doors which open to the front porch.
