One of the few Venice Beach Houses right ON the sand, Casa Karmina is the perfect spot for your Venice Beach stay! Maximize your enjoyment by watching the ocean, surfers and sailboats from so many places in the house. Dine on your covered balcony/lanai or on the lower patio, right next to the sand.

Additional Information: There are numerous fun and easy activities just outside your garden gate. Take the short distance to exciting central Venice, Muscle Beach, street vendors, artisans and performers, or take the short ride to Santa Monica Pier with its famous ferris wheel and arcades. There's even parasailing right out of the marina! And be sure to enjoy the historic Venice Pier: make it your morning or evening fun and even teach your kids to fish just a short block from the house. You can also enjoy the Historic Venice Walk Streets and the Venice Canals (Venice was originally modeled after Venice, Italy) or move along the beach to the colorful 'Venice wall’ and the skate park or south to the Marina jetty and watch the boats come and go. And finally, enjoy dining at the great restaurants right around the corner with your choice of Cuban, Italian, three Mexican restaurants, or simply Starbucks or the local coffee house/deli, 'The Cow's End'!

Amenities : Come in from the beach and use our hot/cold outdoor shower. We have lots of beach toys, 4 bikes, skim boards, and a few boogie boards, etc. all included! In the winter months ride our sled/saucers down the nearby sand dunes (a favorite for the kids!). You may even want to spend a night out on the covered lanai (so you can tell everyone you slept on the beach, under the stars)--there are NO mosquitoes here! All linens, as well as beach towels and blankets are provided.

Great location and property

We had a great time, the condo was clean and well equipped. The location is ideal with plenty of restaurants just a block away. The view from our porch and the rooftop deck were amazing!! We didn’t want to leave. The hosts were quick to respond and very accommodating. The units do have hardwood floors so you could hear your neighbors at times, and I’m sure they could hear my kiddos running around as well, but that is to be expected! It didn’t bother us, but if you are a light sleeper it may. Overall, wonderful place and can’t wait to return!!! Thanks so much Noel & Robin!

Perfect Getaway

My first visit to LA for work and found this amazing home right on Venice Beach. I have nothing but positive things to say, Noel and Robbin got me booked on short notice. It was less than 30 minutes from LAX, once I arrived I was greeted with some pretty amazing views, which you can plan on enjoying all day every day. Watching sunsets from the rooftop hot tub is a must... You are only steps from the beach, Washington ave and a short walk to the muscle beach area. Very comfortable beds, I actually wrote down the brand name of the bedding to order when I got home. Between the location, views and comfort factor, Casa Karmina is one of those places that you'll be happy to call home regardless of how long your stay.

Beautiful view, great location, friendly owners!

This was a perfect place for my family to enjoy a peaceful vacation. The house has everything you need. There is food close by. The beach is beautiful. Venice Boardwalk is in walking distance and Santa Monica pier is in biking distance. Can’t forget our shopping spree on Abbott Kinney - walking distance as well. I highly recommend this rental - worth every penny!

Fantastic!

Our stay in Venice / MDR was fantastic -- Noel and Robin's place fit in perfectly with the low key, low stress vibe of the area and was ideal for our family of 4. Noel couldn't have been more responsive and accommodating -- it was literally turn-key with all the beach gear and bikes. The restaurants -- The Whaler, The Terrace and Mercedes (?) were fantastic (half price omelets between 8-9am!) -- were steps away. Thanks for a great 4 nights.

Venice Beach trip

Everything was just as advertised! Noel and Robin are awesome to work with and super responsive. The property is in a perfect location and was clean and wonderful!! The beach is amazing. We took a bike ride to Santa Monica and it was an easy drive to Universal Studios, Hollywood, the Observatory and the Hollywood sign. Everything you need is here. Lots of towels, bikes and bike rentals if you need more. Grocery stores are close and restaurants are awesome and plentiful. I have told others about it already and we hope to be back someday!

PERFECT VENICE BEACH LOCATION!

Noel and Robin could not have been nicer! They were flexible and provided great communication from the beginning of booking with them. We loved their place! Even though the weather was rainy and cold while we were there we still took full advantage of the great amenities, rooftop hot tub, great patio right on the strand, that the house provided and the fabulous location. We could only imagine how great it would be in nicer weather! They provided everything you need there from new soap and sponges, tons of towels, to a whole closet of bikes, boogie boards, even a great skateboard that my son loved riding. They were so welcoming and the house was cozy and exactly what we were looking for. Thank you!! We hope we will be back very soon!

Great find in Venice!

We had a great time on the beach, the house was very convenient to everything we needed. Walked to Starbucks and many restaurants. Walk and bike pathway to Santa Monica pier and shopping. House was very clean and safe. Garbage bags, laundry soap, dishwasher soap, beach towels, bikes, frisbee, volleyball, football, beach towels, all provided. Noel did everything he could to help make our stay possible and was accessible whenever we needed him. My kids loved the beach exercise areas at Muscle beach and Santa Monica beach. We had a great time. Took our coffee on the deck off family room every day watching the waves, cooked on the grill, and just loved our time together. We had a family of 6 and loved the charming cottage feel. Great place to stay. Noel gave us plenty of keys so different people could go different ways. Wifi and TV reception were great.

Fantastic family vacation- ON THE BEACH!

First, a little background... My husband and I were planning a trip to LA for his cousin's wedding and needed a place to stay with my two kids, my in-laws and another family of 4 (with 2 small children). Over a 4 month period I booked a place in Malibu that cancelled with only 4 weeks notice, a place in Pacific Palisades that turned out to be a fraudulent listing and attempted to book 3 other homes in Venice or Malibu. With less than 2 weeks to go I was ready to give up and book a hotel. I've rented many, many houses on Homeaway, VRBO and Airbnb, and have never had such a hard time finding a reliable owner with an excellent property. BUT - even after all of that drama, I have to say that this was one of our best experiences yet. Noel responded to my inquiry and helped me finalize the booking on ridiculously short notice, and was extremely kind, informative and understanding throughout all of my interactions with him. The property itself is in an unbelievable location. Literally on the beach and next to the pier - it cannot be beat. Everything you need is within walking distance, but we barely left the house - it is just that relaxing and refreshing to stay there. Every morning I would look out from the front porch on the 2nd floor and be amazed at our awesome view and at how lucky we were to find this place. The house is perfect for families with kids, and great for 2 families with the extra "tower unit." The roofdeck is huge. The pictures truly do not do the place justice - it's better in person and not a place you'll want to leave. The entire place is clean and well cared for, with eclectic beach decor. It's the perfect fit for Venice - you really feel like you're living like (very lucky) locals. In short, I cannot thank Noel and Robin enough for not only salvaging our Labor Day weekend, but making it a truly fantastic vacation!

Great Family Weekend @ Venice Beach!!!

After being away from home (TX) for 3 weeks for a trial in LA, my wife and I made the decision that she and our 4 kids would come to visit for the weekend. I called Noel at 10pm on 5/4 to see if the home was available 5/5-5/8. Fortunately Noel was not upset about the late call and the home was available! What followed was one of the best family getaways we've ever had. The home could not be closer to the beach. My 11 & 13 year olds boogie boarded while my 15 & 17 year olds learned to surf. The views from the patios were beautiful. Food and entertainment were literally steps away. We didn't bother renting a car and never needed one. Noel and Robin were wonderful to deal with. They made sure that our stay was worry free - and it was! When we return to Venice Beach someday, I know where we will stay!!!!

Best Sweet Sixteen Ever!

I treated my daughter and her friends to a beach weekend, and it was the best birthday ever, due to the magnificent hospitality of Casa Karmina! Perfect Venice Beach Location

The location of this property could not possibly be any better. Directly on the beautiful clean sandy beach within just a few steps of the Venice Beach pier and Washington Blvd where you can find a great selection of restaurants, coffee shops, bars, and shopping. And in the opposite direction, about a 10 minute walk…not too far but not too close either if you know what I mean, is the famous/infamous Venice Beach boardwalk which is one of the most amazing, bazar, fun, strange, outrageous, eclectic, jam packed, adventurous, free-spirited, artsy, mix-mashes of everything you can imagine, spots on the planet. Where you can either ride your bike around the perimeter and view the calamity from a distance, or walk right on through and mix it up with rest of the humanity. We like to do both! This was our second stay at Casa Karmina and it was even better than the first as there have been several upgrades to the top deck and elsewhere since last year’s visit. We rented both the lower and upper units for our party of 11 which included family and friends from way-way back (grade school). My family of 4 took the tower unit and the rest of the group took the main unit. Everyone was comfortable and very happy with the accommodations and the management. At the home we loved the hot tub, hanging out and people watching on the main balcony and top deck, amazing sunset views, baby grand piano (not for everyone, but my son plays and Noel the manager is an amazing pianist), bicycles, parking, direct beach access and of course the location! We ate locally at several restaurants within a 2-3 minute walk and were happy with all of them. Coffee and breakfast was had just about every morning at the nearby coffee shop (Cow’s End) which was always crowded but very good. We also went to a couple of bars nearby, walked to the Venice canals and the boardwalk, biked to Santa Monica pier, went to Hollywood, did a tour, and hung out in Santa Monica at the 3rd street promenade and in Malibu (Duke’s was very good, and where else can you eat lunch while watching a pod of dolphins frolic just a few feet away). All in all it was a great vacation with my best friends on earth and it all went smoothly thanks to this property’s location, comfort, and amenities! Oh, and if you fly in, it’s only about a 10 minute drive from LAX! Thank you Robin and Noel.

Literally ON THE BEACH!!

This place is the BEST! Not only were Noel and Robin SO accommodating BEFORE we arrived...They were even better in person while we stayed there! This vacation getaway was equipped with EVERYTHING we needed and lots of things we didn't even get a chance to use. Bikes, Games, Beach Chairs, Towels, Movies, Hats, Beach Shoes, Books, Magazines, Jacuzzi - I MEAN EVERYTHING!! It was really clean and comfortable for our party of 8. And did I mention it is right ON THE BEACH!! This truly was one of the best vacations ever at our new FAVORITE place!! I will definitely be back!!

Perfect vacation spot

Our family plus one (2 adults, 3 college age, 1 teenager) stayed here for 8 days in August and had a fabulous time. The location is fantastic - RIGHT on the beach, right on the boardwalk, right by the pier, and close to everything you could want or need. Plus, the unit comes with bikes and boogie boards and everything we needed to take advantage of the fun available right outside the door. Robin and Noel were terrific. They were perfectly helpful and responsive both before and during our stay (and they are both really nice, warm people.) And the unit had everything we needed as well. We cooked most of our meals in and found the kitchen to be generously stocked. There were plenty of towels for showers and for the beach. And there were also books, movies, and music available, though we brought our own and used the great equipment available at Casa Karmina. -- The unit is very comfortable, and the decor is charming. The Wifi worked great as well, and there's even a piano for the musically inclined. All in all, we had a perfect vacation here, and we look forward to the chance to come again.

Why they chose this property

I bought this property because the location is absolutely ideal. It is at the end of a block, which means more space in between the property and the next building, a beautiful side garden, and great views to the north! Also, the view line is directly towards the ocean, with the Venice Pier just to the left, which is lit up at night and beautiful day or night! There is also a stunning view to the left, of the Marina Jetty and the boats coming and going, and to the right, Santa Monica Bay, Santa Monica Pier, and the Malibu coastline and mountains behind. The property is also close to 'Washington Square,' with its many restaurants and shops. The area has a great, positive energy.
