Wonderful place for families! Close to town, but far enough out to feel secluded, making our stay very peaceful. Lots of property to explore. Our kids enjoyed fishing and playing in the river. The cabin was clean and well stocked. Excellent hosts!
Great place to hang your hat & rest between jaunts into Pagosa Springs, very private, easy off road access, nice interior & ample beds; internet in the mtns is a plus with ez use Roku tv when resting in between activities. Nice outdoor spaces, porch & a little play area for kids.
We had a great stay at the cedar cabin. The dog, Richie was very funny and we enjoyed hanging out with him. We caught trout in the river and bash & brim in the pond. It is stocked with huge bass!! The king bedroom is very comfy. The cabin is fully stocked with everything needed. Deer also roam the property in the mornings and evenings.
We loved our cozy little cabin. Super close to town and the hot springs. Really neat to have the horses, cows, dogs and cats around us. Definitely great place to bring the kids and our pup. Highly recommend.
Overall we had a good time at this cabin mainly for its property location and everything on it. The view is amazing. The river beach area on property was a lot of fun. Their ranch dogs are very sweet. Downtown area and grocery store are very close. The cabin itself, however, needs some improvements. We don’t care about small stuff, but the AC not working made nights almost unbearable. We contacted the host about the pilot light in the fireplace giving off heat into the living room, which we thought initially was the cause for the heat in the cabin. They promptly stopped by to turn it off. But unfortunately it didn’t solve the heat issue. Other than the heat issue during the nights, our days were relaxing on their porch and fun in the surrounding areas. If you don’t care about AC, this cabin is a great place to unwind and enjoy breathtaking views.
Had a great stay at the Cedar Cabin, excellent location for all our planned activities which included, snowboarding at wolf creek and the hot springs in Pagosa. Property has beautiful views, a nice pond and very friendly dogs. They have excellent communication and we all enjoyed our stay. Looking forward to coming back in the future.
Amazing!!! The ranch was beautiful and we spent days fishing and enjoying the private section of the river to float!! The cabin was clean and comfortable for our family of 4! We will definitely be back to stay! Oh and we loved Richie the yellow retriever haha our boys played fetch with him and he swam in the river with us!
Great weekend up in Pagosa Springs. Our snow sports got cancelled due to lack of snow in town, but we found a lot of fun for the kids on the ranch. Great little walks, wonderful animals and friendly staff. We came for sports, but got great relaxation which is just what we needed.
The location was breathtaking and very conveniently located to downtown. The hosts were lovely and we enjoyed our stay. Just know if you book during the summer months that this cabin does not have a/c. We happened to be there during an unusually hot weekend and it was tough to get comfortable the first night. The host did bring us a cooler fan and that did help quite a bit.Overall we loved our stay and would book here again.
Sunset ranch is the perfect distance away from town. Has excellent fishing, and hospitable owners/hosts. Richie the Ranch Dog is our buddy, and is very friendly. We love coming back as often as we can.
This cabin was just as reflected on the website. It was a rustic cabin on a beautiful property that we were able to explore and walk all over. The owners were so kind to help is out in bind when the alternator went out on our Jeep. There were a group of friends who meet up at the ranch to spend time together who were all friendly and helpful as well. The river is a little walk away from the cabins but when you get there is is a perfect spot to fish or let the dogs play. Our golden retriever girls loved hanging out with Ritchie the ranch dog.
We had an excellent week at Sunset Ranch! The evergreen wooded setting is restful and pastoral. Cedar Cabin provided for all our needs. Richie the giant Golden Retriever was our host, companion and guide for our stay. Thank you to the entire family who shared their ranch with us! We look forward to our next visit!
