Ardeche stop over

We took a 5 day break while travelling across France in the Ardeche. We chose this area for the Palaeolithic cave drawings. We were blow away by the landscape - the walking and kayaking are truly fantastic. The caves are equally mind blowing. Not something we had experienced outside of the US. The cottage was located centrally to the area we want to explore. Lots of tiny roads but we manged to navigate without too much problem, even in a big SUV. Instructions to the cottage were spot on and we easily parked the car on the road and in the grounds of the cottage - but we were at the end of the season. Cottage had everything we needed... The wifi was a little temperamental, but there was excellent mobile signal so we experience no issues managing our online lives. We had great weather in a fabulous location in a good hide away.... definitely a recommendation to others. Francoise has very good English which made everything that much easier for us with our school French....

Hervorragende und bestens ausgestattete Ferienunterkunft mit einem schönen, nach außen durch eine Mauer und ein Stahltor abgegrenzten Hof bzw. Garten. Das Haus liegt zentrumsnah in einem ruhigen Teil des Dorfs und eignet sich als Ausgangspunkt jeglicher Outdoor-Aktivität. Wir empfehlen bspw. eine Wanderung im oberen Ardèche-Tal bei Thueyts, wo im Bereich der Pont du Diable mächtige Basalte an das kristalline Grundgebirge grenzen.Die Kommunikation des sehr freundlichen und hilfsbereiten Vermieterpaars Durand-Leveque ist vorbildlich. Wir würden uns jederzeit erneut für dieses Ferienhaus entscheiden und empfehlen es unbedingt weiter.

Das Haus ist wirklich einzigartig: Ursprünglich als Waisenhaus genutzt, haben Francoise und Familie es zu einem wirklich herrlichen, idyllischen Ferienort umgestaltet. Der Garten ist richtig schön und lädt Dank verschiedener Aufenthaltsmöglichkeiten dazu ein, sich zu entspannen. Den Jacuzzi haben wir nicht genutzt, daher aber im Freien gefrühstückt oder zu Abend gegessen. Im Haus gibt's alles, was man für seinen Aufenthalt braucht - Spülmaschine, Waschmaschine, Herd und viele Küchenutensilien. Uns hat es an nichts gemangelt. Die Betten sind sehr bequem und obwohl wir im Sommer da waren, haben wir die Klimaanlage nicht benutzt. Abends ging ein frisches Lüftchen und die alten Gemäuer halten die Wärme ab. Das Hauptschlafzimmer geht zur Straße raus, da hört man bei offenem Fenster natürlich auch nachts viel. Aber wir hätten es verschließen können und es wäre still gewesen. Die Lage ist ebenso toll: Die kleine Altstadt ist in zwei Minuten zu Fuß erreichbar. Alles in allem eine tolle Zeit für uns!

Verzorgd, licht, ruim appartement in rustig gedeelte van het stadje waar we met plezier een week doorgebracht hebben. De Pont d'Arc is lopend te bereiken, ontdekten we.

Superbe séjour

Les hôtes sont très acceuillants . Le logement est très propre et très joliment décoré. Emplacement idéal pour visiter les environs et proche des commodités. La voiture peut être garée dans le jardin, ce qui doit être un vrai plus en juillet et août.

Une très bonne adresse ! Un havre de paix pour passer quelques jours entre amis dans cette bastide. Le lieu est charmant. Très belle bastide - Location de grand standing

De retour dans cette belle bastide. Toujours aussi parfaite tant sur la qualité de la location que l'accueil à l'arrivée. Tout est impeccable et très propre. Le joli jardin est très bien entretenu par Françoise et Christian. Nous avons passé un excellent séjour et nous remercions nos hôtes pour leur gentillesse et leurs généreux conseils.

Magnifique gîte au coeur du village

Très bien situé ; gîte spacieux; très propre et bien équipé. Les propriétaires sont charmants et au petit soin.. Avec jardin au calme dans Vallon; Nous reviendrons très vite !
