Lakefront House in Paradise! LARGE DECK, HUGE VIEWS, AND CANOES!
Welcome to our lakeshore cottage!
Come and join our "family" of happy guests any time of the year.
Ahh.......Vacation time high in the Colorado Rocky Mountains. This Shadow Mountain Lakefront home offers you the perfect “Getaway” you've always dreamed of. Whether you're looking for a quiet retreat in a pristine natural setting or that quality vacation fun time with family and friends, this could be your “Slice of Heaven.”
Relax and unwind....... This cozy and charming house is nestled on the sparkling shores of Shadow Mountain Lake where the headwaters of the Colorado River join with it. You can enjoy a relaxing time on the spacious deck with breathtaking views of the pristine islands, white pelicans and majestic Shadow Mountain and the Never Summer Range as your backdrop. You know you have truly come home!!!
Enjoy a serene and magical view from the large deck or adventure out in a canoe, kayak or paddle board (with assorted lifejackets & paddles) all included for your use.
You'll likely see moose, osprey & pelicans during your stay!!!
If fishing is your thing, we hear it is excellent in this area. Wade out into the shallow waters or take your rig to the nearby boat launch for a day on both Shadow Mountain and Grand Lake. They join together through a channel on the other end of the lake. If it's river fishing you prefer, we have that too. Hopefully, you will be enjoying a fresh catch dinner! Let us know how you did!
The beautiful and quaint resort town of Grand Lake is only 3 miles away and offers great restaurants, gift shops, grocery stores, gas, miniature golf or you may decide to take in a musical at Rocky Mountain Repertory Theatre and so much more. Continuing down the road from the town of Grand Lake just 2 more miles away, you will find the entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park, another icon of incredible beauty and beyond belief scenery and trails. (Another great place to view moose elk and deer.!)Wintertime is just as wonderful as the summer months. We offer the world-renowned Winter Park ski area only 40 minutes away as well as Granby Ranch ski area only a 20-minute drive. Out the back door, cross country skiing on the frozen lake is a great way to warm up your day and get that daily exercise. Or head over to Grand Lake Nordic Center (located at the golf course), YMCA's Snow Mountain Ranch or Devils Thumb for a day on the groomed cross country ski trails. Grand Lake is known as the “Snowmobile Capital of Colorado” with over 100 miles of trails in the Grand Lake area alone. Gear up and head out to play in the Colorado powder. Then, after a day of fun, you may want to stop in at the nearby “Hot Sulphur Mineral Springs” spa and resort. They offer 20 mineral pools of warm healing water, ranging from 98 to 112 degrees. This scenic 25-minute drive is well worth your time.
