About this property

Riverside Cottage -

A luxurious detached house with modern, contemporary decoration located in the heart of market town of Evesham, Worcestershire. The house is conveniently located near the centre of town, within 10 min walk to the high street, cinema and shops.

Smart, elegant house situated next to the River Avon. In front of the house, there is large open space "the Meadow" which as cycling/foot path and play ground.

The house has an ensuite shower room to the master bedroom, a main bath room with shower over bath and a downstairs cloak room. There is a fully equipped kitchen with all utensils, toaster, kettle, and cafetiere. There is also frideg/freezer/dishwasher/washing machine in the kitchen and tumble dryer in the garage.

Guests have access to house, garage and garden. There is always someone available to help either on the phone or in person.

Children are welcome, high chair and travel cot were provided.

Off road parking available.. Private drive and parking for another vehicle. Evesham railway station is 5 mins by car.

It is within easy reach of the motorway network. The house is within an hour's drive to Birmingham International Airport.

The house is located on the edge of the Cotswold, with easy access to Warwick (Warwick Castle), Stratford upon Avon (Shakespeare's birth place), Bicester village and Oxford.

Evesham is home to many historical artifacts and hosts year round events. The Vale of Evesham produces many varieties of fruits and vegetables that are exported worldwide.

Wonderful experience

We had a quite enjoyable stay! The pre-visit communication with the hosts was very helpful, especially as there were two parts of our group arriving separately from overseas. The location is very convenient to the train station and to shops and places to eat and drink in Evesham. The place is very nice, clean with the river walk right there.

Lovely house and garden

The house was perfect for our needs, exactly as described, well equipped & beautifully presented. Lovely garden for enjoying the sunny weather. Communication with owner excellent. A couple of minor cleaning issues which didn't impact our stay. Would highly recommend as a base for exploring the Cotswolds.

Great place to stay but parking a problem

The property is a modern, well equipped, house. It is in a good location close to the town and good for walks by the river. The two issues we had were parking and scents. There is parking for one car on the drive - the garage is too small to get a car in in and would only be suitable for a bike. If you have a second car it is a real problem. Cars are parked on the pavement and parked right up to the edge of the drive. The other issue was scents. I am sensitive to scents. The house had josh sticks scattered around which we had to collect up and hide. Overall though it was a nice property to stay in.

What I liked: The location and setting were excellent. The patio garden area was delightful, and the park and walking paths right outside the gate were a great bonus. The 10 to 15 minute walk to shopping, train station and local sights was easy. The kitchen was large and fairly well provided with dishes, pans, etc. Great for families and for a few nights stay. What I didn’t like: A warmer welcome (both literally and figuratively) would have been very appreciated. When guests have travelled a long way to arrive at the property, a working thermostat and a few food items would have provided a much better start to our stay. Walking into a cold house after a day of travel and finding nothing to welcome our arrival but a small pack of Oreos was a bit depressing. Poor start which could have been easily remedied. Some of the food items left behind should have been cleaned out before new guests came (3 opened bags of rice, some dubious looking condiments and coffee, etc). Again, an easy fix to make this a much more memorable stay.

A beautiful house in an ideal location

It is always a joy when entering a rented property to find that not only was the property description accurate but that the house is even better than expected. Riverside Cottage was well stocked with all the necessary bits and pieces and all were of good quality. The beds were very comfortable and the instruction book on how the various appliances worked was very well drafted. I particularly liked the novel bathroom taps which were in the form of mini waterfalls. A word of caution, however, don't turn them on too fast and then stand too close! Previous reports have referred to parking problems. The guaranteed space on the drive was perfect and we never had any problems with our second car which we parked in the road across the drive. I can imagine there might be a minor problem if you had a third car, but even then there was always space somewhere close by on the estate. The walk into town was a very pleasant stroll of about 10-15 minutes along the riverside. We ate in most nights but did use the Italian restaurant - Casa in Vine Street- a couple of times and had excellent meals on both occasions. If ever we are in the area again, we will certainly look to return to Riverside Cottage. Highly recommended as far as we are concerned.

Lovely, comfortable, peaceful house close to town

We stayed at this house with a teenager, a child and a baby and found it spacious and comfortable. The house had everything we needed and a sweet, tidy little garden. Being able to park right by the back gate was useful. Out the front was a huge green area with a play park and nice walks along the river. We found the location quiet but just a short walk to town and the local supermarket. Really enjoyed our stay here. We would recommend this property.

A lovely, clean, well-equipped property. Home from home!

We were coming to Evesham for a wedding, so stayed for 4 nights. The property was easy to find and access. It was in immaculate condition and had everything we needed. Family-friendly - especially as it was so close to the park! Evesham was a nice town - the Abbey and Abbey Park was a highlight for the kids. We may well come and stay again. Thank you.

Beautiful house in lovely location

My family of '6 adults' stayed at this lovely house for 2 nights to celebrate our 25th Wedding anniversary and to attend a family wedding which was at a venue 7 miles from the house. The house was so clean, lovely decorated and well equip. The walk at the front of the house through the park and along the cannel was beautiful with all the wild life, cannel boats and static homes, so picturesque. We would not hesitate to recommend this house and the lady who owns the house was so thoughtful. My husband and I are already saying that we will return.
