A short 15 minutes from Rotorua Airport. 25 minutes into central Rotorua, and 30 minutes to Papamoa Beach,45 minutes to Tauranga. 5-minute drive to the Okere Falls cafe. Described by many as " A Modern Scandinavian" twist to the Kiwiana-themed bach, The Love Shack has a rustic blend of plywood walls, mood feature lighting, and lush soft furnishings that makes for a romantic and relaxing escape. The Love Shack has a luxurious queen-size Sleepy Head Chiropractic bed- super comfy! The sleek kitchen is fitted with a modern cooktop, microwave, and filtered H20 on tap along with a full-sized fridge/freezer for extended stays. A Weber Baby Q BBQ makes outdoor cooking a breeze. The Love Shack is 29 square metres in total inside space, plus a deck and garden area. The Shack has an Ensuite off the bedroom and not a full bathroom.
Private jetty offers the option to bring your boat and try your luck at fishing for Rainbow Trout, or just playing on the water and visiting the many bays and beaches including the famous Manupirua Hot Pools which are only accessible by boat. Visit the Okere Falls Food Store/Cafe/Beer Garden by boat or a short stroll. A great place to stock up on their extensive beer range. There are numerous activities close by including bush walks, white water rafting, golfing, and thermal attractions. Enjoy some of the best Mountain biking tracks in the world, the Redwood forest is 25 minutes from here or just kick back and enjoy kayaking on the lake. We have a selection of kayaks as well as stand up paddleboards for guests to use. Off-road parking is situated at the top by the main house with a short walk down steps and a concrete path to the Love Shack( less than 1 minute). PLEASE NOTE : A reasonable fitness level of fitness is required to walk the short distance Up & Down to the Shack. There is NO direct car access to the Shack. Let us know in advance if you would like to bring your boat or jet ski so we can give you special instructions about Launching across at the Waipuna boat ramp and it's a wee just 10 minutes cruise across to us. Remember that our inlet is strictly 5 knots.

MINIMUM STAY IN THE LOVE SHACK IS 2 NIGHTS.

A compulsory $70 cleaning fee applies which covers removing guest rubbish, guest recycling, and laundry.

Guests are provided with all linen, including sheets, shower, and swimming towels, bedding, kitchen tea towels.
A well-stocked tea and coffee caddy along with some BBQ essentials(oil, salt, ​pepper, handy towels). We also provide Body wash, Shampoo, conditioner, toilet paper, Hand wash, hand sanitiser, Face wipes(for makeup removal), sanitizing wipes, and BBQ wipes.

If wishing to bring a jet ski or boat, please let us know in advance of your stay so we can clear some room on our jetty and give you clear instructions on where to launch and park trailers.
