The Space:

Freshly renovated in 2025 and a short walk from the sand 1 minute via the beach access way. This upstairs apartment is set up for easy beach days: swim, rinse off, and finish the afternoon on the deck.



THE BEACH

Direct beach access is the reason guests come back. The access way leads straight onto the ocean beach and towels are provided.



THE DECK

A covered, sunny deck runs the length of the apartment, with lounge seating, a gas BBQ and plenty of greenery.



THE LAYOUT

You have your own private entrance at ground level, with internal stairs leading up to the apartment. Everything is on the upper level, both bedrooms, the bathroom, the kitchen and open-plan living, which opens onto the deck. Please note there are stairs to carry luggage up.



KITCHEN & LIVING

The new kitchen has stone bench tops, timber cabinetry, a gas cooktop, oven, microwave, dishwasher and coffee maker. The open-plan living and dining area is light-filled, with a smart TV, fast Wi-Fi, air conditioning and heating, plus a workspace if you need to log on.



THE BATHROOM

A freestanding bath and a walk-in rain shower, with hotel-quality amenities by Six for Good. Separate toilet.

Guest Access:

The upstairs apartment is fully self-contained, with its own private entrance and deck. It's separate from the owners' residence downstairs. The only shared space is the laundry in the garage.



Free on-site parking is included for one car with extra street parking nearby.



Your Five Star Focused check-in guide arrives two days before arrival. Self check-in is via a key safe located at the property. Early check-in, late check-out and mid-stay cleans can be requested through the guest app, subject to availability.



The Neighborhood:

Start the day with a swim or a long walk along the beach, which runs unbroken towards Main Beach in one direction and Papamoa in the other. For calmer water, Pilot Bay on the harbour side is popular for paddle boarding, kayaking and family swims.



Downtown Mount is about a 10-minute drive away, with Maunganui Road and the surrounding streets lined with boutiques, surf and homeware stores, cafés, restaurants and bars. Head in for brunch or dinner, then come home to the quiet.



The Mount is also a great base for a wellness break, with oceanfront sauna sessions at The Sauna Project, movement classes at Ō Studio and spa treatments at Fernland Spa.



For families, Bayfair Shopping Centre has cinemas, supermarkets, dining and shops, and Baywave TECT Aquatic & Leisure Centre has wave pools and hydroslides – both a few minutes drive away. Two golf courses are within an easy drive, and for panoramic Bay of Plenty views, the walking tracks at Papamoa Hills Regional Park are about 15 minutes drive.



Across the harbour, Tauranga CBD offers waterfront dining, boutique bars, harbour walks and a growing food and nightlife scene.



Further afield, Rotorua's geothermal parks and Māori cultural experiences, the Hobbiton Movie Set, Whakatāne's fishing charters and the beaches of the southern Coromandel are all good day trips, about 1–1.5 hours' drive.

Getting Around:

Free on-site parking is included, with extra street parking nearby. The beach, local cafés and supermarket are within walking distance 15-20 minutes, but a car is recommended for downtown Mount (about 10 minutes' drive and day trips around the Bay of Plenty.



Tauranga Airport is roughly a 10–15 minute drive. Taxis and Uber operate locally, and Baybus services run through the Mount.



Other Things to Note:

- The lead guest must be 25+ and staying at the property.

- Before arrival, guests complete our quick Verify Me process.

- Guests accept the Five Star Focused booking Terms & Conditions – just ask if you'd like to see them before booking.

- No parties or events. Quiet hours are 10pm–7am, as the owners live downstairs.

- The apartment is upstairs, reached by internal stairs.

- The laundry (in the garage) is shared with the owners.

- For security, there are cameras on the outside of the property covering the entrance. There are no cameras inside the apartment.
