Great in town property. Everything you need in walking distance . Cottage nicely done. Well stocked with lots of extras not normally found in vacation rentals. Nice welcome basket with water, coffee & tea. All the basics provided . Hot tub, sauna, fire pit , grill, games, electric fire pit & outdoor spaces. We loved it!! Grateful for time to spend in a lovely location! The area has some great shops and eateries, and more appear to be in development! The property is easy-highway accessible, and a quick trip to downtown Asheville. The property is spacious and well-appointed with cozy farmhouse charm. There are multiple spaces to convene to chat or play a board game both outside and in the home, as well as comfortable space to read with peace and quiet. The kitchen was READY for us to prep our New Years meal, stocked with all the essential utensils, serverware and elbow room!Given the time of year (Dec) we didn't take advantage of the hot tub, but my brother in law enjoyed the sauna amenities to reboot and refresh. The living room and bedrooms are equipped with smart TVs and comfy bedding and all of the living spaces are clean, organized and welcoming.

Great location

very clean property in great location. Very close to lots of restaurants in cute town of black mountain. Plenty of space, nice hot tub, steam shower was great too. There is no option for early checkin before 3pm and no late check out after 10am so keep that in mind. Beds were a bit hard for my personal liking but maybe not an issue for others. Would definitely recommend and consider staying there again.

Beautiful home and location!

The property is just like it looks online. This unit felt very private even though it was a duplex. You would never know there were other families staying right beside you. The kitchen is absolutely beautiful and everything you need, including spices! The owner left a wonderful assortment of coffee for our stay. Lots of places to walk for eating and shopping. Can’t wait to go again and hopefully for a longer stay to enjoy the property more.

Beautiful home in a great location

We very much enjoyed our stay in this beautiful home. All the beds were very comfortable including very soft sheets. The kitchen was well appointed with tea, coffee, etc. We walked to breweries, shops and restaurants and were less than a mile to get on the highway. The many outdoor spaces were a nice surprise. We enjoyed the hot tub which was cleaned daily. The communication with the owner was great. He was quite responsive. We would definitely stay in this lovely home again when visiting the greater Asheville area.

The property is amazing! The townhouse design is extremely well thought out. Every inch of the space is usable while being aesthetically pleasing. The dry sauna, steam shower and jacuzzi were a hit! The beds are comfortable and linens/ towels are of great quality! The welcome coffee basket was a nice surprise. Nice touches throughout . Little things like having spices, oil, sugar available and kids dinnerware makes a difference! The host communication is very effective and is tailored to guests. The location is great! Close to everything and a walking distance to a few restaurants! This is hands down the best rental property we stayed in!

AMAZING

This is our second time staying at this property and it really did not disappoint! The owners are so thoughtful and helpful down to every little detail of having water in the fridge to having the kitchen fully stocked with any utensils or supplies you could ever need. The hot tub, sauna and fire table are wonderful bonuses to an already beautiful and relaxing property. The only detail that we noticed that was different being our second time here is that (due to no fault of the owners) it looked like a previous guest did not treat the home well. There were markings on the wall. Not sure if the cleaning crew has changed since the last time we’ve been here but I had to do a bit of my own cleaning before feeling 100% comfortable. Nonetheless, I would absolutely recommend this property to anyone and everyone looking to stay in the area. It never disappoints:)

A benchmark experience!

If every VRBO were operated like this, there would be no more hotels! I honestly couldn't think of any way that this place could be better. Chris, the host, was excellent at communicating. He sent a plethora of instructions ahead of time as well as information about things to do in the surrounding area. There were helpful instructions all over the house that made operating spa and other hardware a snap! The place was SPOTLESS, there was plenty of coffee and tea stocked for our stay and the kitchen was well-equipped. CANNOT recommend enough! Oh, and LOCATION! Walking distance from some fun local shops and art galleries, breweries and incredible restaurants! We loved our meals from The Bush and Fresh Pizza that are on the same street. If this place has made it onto your list of potential spots for your stay near Asheville, DO IT. Easy drive about 20 minutes from downtown Asheville or Biltmore makes for a fun time visiting, but a nice reprieve from all the hustle.

This home is amazing! Chris is thoughtful about so many details. You won’t be disappointed!

Five of my friends and I stayed here for a long weekend trip during the Fall. We love Black Mountain, and this home is close to town. We were able to walk everywhere and Chris has town information, books, magazines, extra blankets, shampoo, conditioner, soap, firewood, hammock, sauna, steam shower, BBQ grill, hot tub, towels, and all of the amenities (sugar, salt, pepper, Keurig w/cups, filters for coffee maker). Just for planning, there is a large fridge, but no ice maker. Driveway has room for 2 cars max. It’s 3 floors, and a shared building, although VERY private. The cleanliness, amenities, and thoughtful touches made it an instant favorite in terms of vacation rentals!! Would love to stay here again!!

Absolutely loved this property! Stayed 2 nights - 4 adults and 3 kids (aged 5, 6 and 10). Planned activities in Asheville so this location was perfect. The house had so many special touches and amenities - hot tub, fire pit, sauna, hammock and another fire pit near the sauna. Easy on/off location from the main highway and tons of walkable food options. The owner provided a great list of recommendation from coffee to lunch to the best pizza venue. We are already looking for our next visit and finding limited availability - and I can see why! We will definitely book again soon!

Cool property within walking distance

This is a unique house that utilizes every square inch. Great outdoor spaces which include hot tub, sauna, and fire pit. It feels very private despite being a duplex. The steam shower was a bonus. The kitchen was well equipped, even down to coffee, cling wrap, etc. The location was great…walking distance to the charming downtown restaurants and shops. Customer service and communication was great. Chris shoveled snow off the deck twice in one day (10 inches of snow). It was an awesome place to stay. One thing that should be disclosed in the description/ details of the property: The house is advertised as a property that sleeps 8 and it does sleep 8. However, if you have more than 6 in your party, you are charged an additional guest fee. For our “extra 2” (total of 8), we were charged an additional $450. Had I not spent so much time finding the place, I may have booked something else. It just seems that should be disclosed on the front end and not at the checkout. It was a great long weekend and very deserving of 5 stars.

The perfect getaway

A phenomenal experience through and through. Suffice it to say, we feel very blessed to have had the opportunity to stay here. Truth be told, we are few days removed from check-out and we are so ready to return! This house is gorgeous inside and out. We absolutely loved everything about it- the design, floor plan, decor, furniture and appliances. Furthermore, it was also nice to see Christmas decorations as well! As others have mentioned, the amenities here are plentiful. Although we didn’t get around to using the sauna or fire pit, we were able to use the hot tub, which in our opinion, was the most appealing. Who knew how amazing it’d be to get into one with outside temperatures in the 30’s?! The area, in which the hot tub was located, allowed for us to capture a glimpse of the clear night sky, so it was quite nice to see the stars. The string lights, which encompasses the area, added the perfect amount of illumination, which created the perfect atmosphere for relaxation. Speaking of relaxation, we absolutely loved the fact that everything was peaceful and quiet. We got some of the best sleep ever and I think a lot of that is credited to the fact at how comfortable the home made us feel. Also, another feature that I loved about the property, was the electric fireplace! I’ve never experienced one prior to my stay but was truly fascinated by the look of it and the amount of heat it produced. Again, quite nice to be sitting it front of one, on a cold night, while watching a show/movie on the provided Roku TV! As for location, the property is nestled perfectly in area where restaurants are within walking distance. The town of Black Mountain has a lot of charm and had everything we needed, activity and food wise. Chris, the host, was so awesome. He was very friendly, helpful and stayed engaged with us from the moment we booked the property, to check in, our stay and even after our check out. He went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed and gave us so much information about Black Mountain and sites to see in the surrounding area. By the way, Mount Mitchell and Chimney Rock are great places to visit! Those views from up top were absolutely breathtaking. I know I can go on and on about our experience, because believe me, I can, but in conclusion, our experience here was nothing short of amazing. This is the only place for us in Black Mountain and we look forward to returning soon. Thank you, Chris!

Why they chose this property

The Luxe Spa Getaway was designed as a turnkey experience for vacationing travelers who want to be centrally located, with access to both regional, as well as, local experiences. Asheville, the Biltmore Estate, Chimney Rock, Lake Lure, Mt Mitchel, the Smokies, and the Blue Ridge Parkway are in easy striking distance. But many who come find that the local experience of Black Mountain-Montreat are the surprise (see local guides on the kitchen counter). Black Mountain has a growing reputation as an outdoor recreation mecca with a bustling town center that supports year round tourism. It has become the most visited Asheville satellite (per capita) in the region, while nearby Montreat has a rustic mountain village feel, with some of the most pristine back country hiking and mountain biking trails in WNC.

This is a dual townhome that performs and flows as two single family homes. The townhomes share a center wall, but they are designed with complete privacy in mind. WHAT TO EXPECT:

I provide coffee and assorted teas along with creamer and sugar....For the kitchen-cooking oils and spices, a slow cooker and everything you need for full meal service and prep. In regards to the house, there is Smart cable TV with Netflix and Prime. There is no smoking or vaping inside, but instead please enjoy your smokes on the private deck. For little ones, there is a high chair, and a Pack n’ Play. For families-cornhole, board games, and books. For those working, a printer and quick WiFi. For everyone else a hot tub at 104 degrees.
