Very comfortable house in a stunning location. Lovely stream, which we saw in full flood after the major storm and in its gentle beauty after the waters subsided. Excellent off the grid setup. Starlink internet worked well. Great view from the lovely warm bath. Host very helpful and kept in touch during the storm.
Enjoyed another amazing stay over the Matariki weekend! The place was wonderful as always and Matt was very accommodating about letting us check out a little later!
Thanks and sure we will stay again soon!
Best spot I've stayed in by far nice homely feeling very spacious good facilities will definitely recommend to those who like adventure with the comfort of a nice house to retreat to.

So happy your whanau enjoyed it and it worked out for you Tamihana. Everyone said how great they were. Thanks for coming to the wilds of Waiaro!
Great secluded property in a wonderful part of the Bush. Lots of wildlife around, heard Kiwi calling in the night.
Unfortunately couldn't get the hot water working to fill the outdoor bath, but otherwise great spot.
Plenty of space around the property too
We had a fabulous time here (despite the unseasonal cyclone!).
Home is well equiped, spacious and comfortable. Beautiful large garden that we all played in in the rain.
Saw the glowworms down in the creek at nightime which was amazing.
Was so lovely and peaceful truely being away from it all.
Unfortunately we didn't get chance to explore the region more because of the weather, so will definitely be back hoping for better weather!
You'll be happily surprised when you enter the beautiful tunnel of trees and then it opens up to the amazing Eco Bach. The trip is definitely worth it . Thankyou to Noel for the immaculately clean presentation of this Coromandel Gem we loved it ❤️
We enjoyed everything Port Jackson offered and the adventures the Eco Bach provides
We will definitely be rebooking this summer ☀️ ❤️ 😍 and many more to come
We had such a wonderful stay at the Eco bach. It has the coolest driveway, lots of zones, ie. Hammock, Bath, grass, Stream. My toddler absolutely loved exploring. I would highly reccomend.
We had a great time at Waiaro. Was so quiet. It really felt like getting away from the world. The bach is well set up. The weather was pretty below average so we spent lots of time inside by the fire. We enjoyed a guided walk up to a big-ish Kauri tree. Only complaints are that we couldn't get hot running to the bath despite experimenting with every possible configuration of the pressure. And there appeared to be no generator that I could see. Not sure if the instructions were out of date or if I was just blind. But anyway we didn't really need it- the solar power and wet back fire were adequate for light and hot water. Overall a great time.
Gate was locked when we got there had to lift it off the hinges to access the house as there was no.
Gate was locked when we got there had to lift it off the hinges to access house. The best bath did not work and valve handle below the cilinder for the pressure had been removed. Apart from that everything else worked. Very quiet and peaceful lots of birds and rabbits nice clean house.solar worked well. Outside shower was good.

Wow. I'm very sorry to hear that Bill. It sounds like my neighbour stuffed up the dates and locked the gates. I'm just pleased you managed to get the gate off the hinges to get in. I will take a look at the missing valve handle too, thanks for letting me know.

Hey Zarnie
Great that you enjoyed yourselves and thanks for coming to our neck of the woods.
If you feel like heading up another time summer is of course good everywhere, and mid-Sept the Kowhai in the valley by the house are out and are teeming with sugar-filled randy Tui which is pretty special. If you get a still clear night make sure you put mattresses on the lower deck to enjoy the stars.
Cheers
Matt
Location is fantastic and off grid element was brilliant but sadly Bach was really dirty, the sheets on the beds looked unclean, the toilet was dirty and the cutlery and plates in kitchen needed cleaning before they could be used. The owner was apologetic and refunded the cleaning charge but the house hadn’t been cleaned properly in a very long time. It was a big disappointment and we couldn’t get back the few hours needed to clean the place when we arrived. Such a shame as it was such a magical spot.

Amazing holiday
We had a brilliant time while staying here. Who needs phone, wifi or TV when you've got eels, glow worms, bush walks, a beautiful river, and stars at night like you've never seen before. The bach is really comfortable and has everything you need for a relaxing stay: comfy beds, big couches, a huge deck, BBQ and woodburner for the winter. Highly recommended.
