It was different to anything else we've stayed at. Didn't realize it would have a lot of steps. Fine for us. But need to be aware. It was clean ,but quirky and a lot of clutter we could have done without. We were comfortable and warm. Thank you. Nice and close to beach and shops. Lively little community

Lovely cottage feel

We really enjoyed our stay at this property, had everything we needed, very clean, lovely art throughout, thoughtfully arranged. Close to the beach. ducklings came to visit occasionally and enjoyed watching the sheep in the evenings. Friendly owners, enjoyed our chat towards the end of our stay.

Blissful summer retreat

Quiet location backing onto countryside combined with proximity to one of the loveliest beaches, and glorious sunshine perfect for hammock time. Very comfy and characterful apartment. We will be back!

Lovely guests and very accommodating. I forgot my milk but they made sure I had some! Lovely to deal with. Very quirky & has everything you need!

Absolutely stunning

We loved out stay at the property. The kitchen has all the utensils etc. that you need. The hammock was awesome. On fine days we made breakfast and sat out on the deck watching the butterflies and listening to the birds. George and Marina are such lovely people and easily contactable if needed. It was the perfect space for the end of our honeymoon.

“Different words “

These guys have amazing properties. Soon you enter the drive it feels like you are in different country. The decor and the building are absolutely stunning. Quit old school European/ Mediterranean vibes. Definitely going back just to stay. For those travelling from out of town or country. Beach is absolutely beautiful great fishing swimming 10/10.

Quirky

This is a great place to stay. Everything on the property has been built and decorated with a difference. There is a arts and crafts touch to everything. Be prepared to be greeted by some extremely friendly dogs, a very friendly cat and very curious geese. George and Marina are great hosts.I will happily there again.Garth

Funky loft!

Loved this place and it was great value. So many cool features and it was very welcoming.The instructions in the welcome email could do with being updated as we were initially unsure about where to park, and the WiFi has changed. Also the sofa beds are very old and not particularly comfy. But generally great!

Pleasant, relaxed and quirky

We loved the quirky, arty ambience and laid back vibe. Set back from the beach, it was a sheltered and secure spot to stay with carport, very handy. We loved our walks to and from the beach and, of course, general store for morning coffee. About 30 mins by car to Havelock North, it was a great place to really get away from it. Lots of swims and long walks along the beach - brill’. Thank you Marina and George for a lovely relaxing stay. Best wishes for 2023 :)

A disconnect from the outside world.

An amazing concept artfully executed. Property was up for sale during our stay and we could see some renovations were underway. We wish the current owners the best on where ever their road takes them, but look forward to new owners making their mark and starting a new chapter for this little oasis.

High in the Birdsnest.

We really enjoyed the artistry and creativity of the bach, with regards colour scheme and design. Had most of the amenities we needed. One criticism : in summer it gets far to hot to be comfortable, especially in the bedroom. At least TWO large.desktop fans are needed. Other than that we would highly recommend this property. Great Location with Room for Improvement

The accommodation was in a fantastic location with a beautiful view of maize fields, which we really enjoyed. However, we did notice some areas for improvement, such as a bit of dust and grime, dishes that could have been cleaned better, and a BBQ that needed more attention. We also had some trouble with the Wi-Fi password provided. That said, we appreciated being allowed a late check-out, which was a kind gesture. With a little more focus on cleanliness and small details, this place has great potential!
