Our second stay at the amazing house. Fits our 2 skiing families perfectly. Plenty of space, great kitchen, garage for parking/storage, super quiet. The walk from town is a bit steep towards the end, but it’s so worth it for the view, and easy to get a taxi if needed. Already looking forward to next years stay!
We had a fantastic stay at this beautiful home. We were a large family group which had 2 young children and appreciated the different levels of the house with games, puzzles and books. The location to town was fantastic and the view of the city, Mountains and lake was out of this world. The house was immaculately clean and had everything we needed. Thankyou for hosting us, we will be back.
We had a lovely time staying at this beautiful property. Very well laid out for a family with great amenities. A short walk to town - a bit of a hill climb back but the view is worth it😊. Would love to stay here again
The property is well stocked with everything you could possibly need to make your stay comfortable. Quick walk into town, very hilly on the way back but worth it for the spectacular views.
Really couldn’t have been better. We have a large family with varying ages and the room separation, ensuites, amenities, location was superb. Everything you need and more. The artwork was a really nice touch and loved reading about the local artists in the welcome booklet. Everything was EASY thanks to amazing hosts. Would highly recommend as a wonderful home-away-from-home. Photos of home just up the hill from accommodation and the fabulous fire and apres-ski bath. Thanks so much!
The house was sbsolutely superb. Perfect for our two families of 5 with mainly adult children. Views are amazing !!!Great location with relatively easy walk to shops and nightlife. Thank you.
The house was perfect for our two families. The kids loved having their own space downstairs while the adults soaked in the gorgeous views above! Thank you!
No complaints! The property is clean and the views are amazing. You have all the privacy you can ask for while having quick access to town. Big shout out to the hosts for being so accomodating and friendly. Will definitely return on our next trip to QT!
We enjoyed a lovely stay in this house. We were a large group (family reunion) but there was plenty of space for us all.
The house was warm and comfortable, loved the fireplace.
Beds were lovely, 2 large king rooms upstairs, one with a beautiful view across the lake. Spa bath that the kids enjoyed.
We had everything we need (took us a while to find the wine glasses), I messaged Hayley as we were low on an item and she responded straight away and popped it over.
I would recommend to stay again.
We had a family reunion in Queenstown with 9 people and stayed at this property for a week. The accommodation was beyond expected with all little things taken care off. The house was spacious and was perfect for adults to have their own space whilst the kids enjoyed their own space on the lower level. The house was very neat and tidy and well equipped (even had games, lots of dvds and books). The views were fantastic and location was good (close to town). Definitely recommend staying at this property.

10 of us had a wonderful weekend in Queenstown and the biggest part of that was the wonderful house
10 of us had a wonderful weekend in Queenstown and the biggest part of that was the wonderful house that we stayed in. The children just loved their downstairs area and we all admired the great taste and style within the house as well as the exclusive views. Our main destination was actually the triathlon in Paradise, Antrim One made us feel like being in paradise already. Thank you !

Thank you for your kind comments. We are so glad you enjoyed yourselves!
We were a family with 2 young kids. This house was right in the central of Queenstown with amazing views of the lake.
Access was easy, although council road closures did require us to take a longer route to get in and out of the place.
House was fully equipped with everything you would need for a comfortable stay. Fireplace and electric blankets in each room over 3 levels. Perfect setup for our family.
You can’t beat the view and convenience, and the hosts made us feel like family. Well stocked and clean, spacious, balcony is incredible. Accordion doors bring the outside in. Fireplace was nice touch. Large bathrooms and great jacuzzi tub with view. Nice to have our car in a garage. Even golf clubs for Queenstown CC. Being behind and overlooking City Center was quiet but you could see everything going on at the harbor and lake, and great angles of three mountain ranges. One of the best Vrbo places we’ve ever stayed.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property - it was perfect for 2 families with 4 kids. With a bedroom and ensuite and WIR for each of the parents upstairs and an open plan kitchen, dining on the second level meant that the kids could enjoy the bottom level to themselves and better yet, could go to bed earlier without the parents disturbing them. Ensuites are large with plenty of room and the laundry helps with any washing needed for the stay. The view was stunning in this location, the photos simply don't do it justice! One of the best things was to come back after a day out (so many things to see, eat and do around Queenstown), open the living room concertino doors and admire the view and enjoy the fresh breeze. Sunsets are not to be missed especially in Queenstown in the summer which is around 9.30pm. Mind you, the view also means that from town, it is a steep walk up but the convenience factor of being 5-10 mins walk away is worth it. If you are planning to stay in Queenstown the first time, this place will spoil you...we've stayed in 5 places in the last 4 years and this property is great value for money for its location and perfect for a larger group.

About the host
Hosted by Hayley Rand
My grandfather, from Invercargill, purchased the land, and built the original holiday house on this site in the mid 1930's. It remained in the family until 2004 when the top half of the house was moved to Cromwell, a nearby town, where it is still in family ownership. The current block of apartments was built at that time and the family retained ownership of this one. It is still used mainly as a family holiday place, with the original owner's great, great grandchildren now enjoying holidays here. I too, grew up in Invercargill but now live in Christchurch, having lived overseas for a couple of periods. Wherever we have moved, Queenstown has always been the constant. My sister is still in Invercargill and we each have a child living in Queenstown. These two will be your contacts, during your stay.
Why they chose this property
This is an ideal spot for a couple of families as it was built specifically with an extended family group in mind.
What makes this property unique
Minutes walking distance from all Queenstown has to offer, and views you will never forget!
