Carpet beetle

The house was much more run down thank in the photos it’s smelled horribly of dust!!!! The carpet was revolting and there was carpet beetle chewing the edges of the carpets especially in the master bedroom . It was not acceptable to have kids there especially a new born . We left

The house had been commercially cleaned two days before you arrived so we do not understand your comment regarding dusty smell. We went to the house the day after you left and searched for signs of carpet beetle of which we found none. We found punch holes in the carpet made by the smooth edge carpet gripper and dead ants both of which could we guess be mistaken for carpet beetle without taking a good look. The house is built on sand as is all of Pauanui which is why it was fumigated a few months ago. Yes the carpet is old and frayed on some edges mainly in the main bedroom up at the end of the bed. We have owned the house for 23 years and the frayed patches of carpet have remained the same. We have raised 3 children holidaying in that bach regularly from newborn and many families have stayed there with no complaints.

Lovely quiet peaceful setting near the park with flying fox and tennis courts nearby, shops just down the road. Fully fenced - great for little children. Not far from the beach. We enjoyed fantastic weather and really loved our stay here. Would love to stay again.
