The Lollygaggers house was definitely everything that was posted. The accessibility of the elevator and the location of this house made for an outstanding week at OBX rods and customs.
Came down for the OBX rods and Customs show, and already booked this house for 2027.

The house was perfect as far as location, number of rooms/space, pool and hot tub, and most of what we needed being provided. Beach access is right across the street and is an easy walk. Great restaurants are within walking distance (Mama Kwan's is favorite). Check in was easy. The house was fairly clean and inviting. There was a lot of room. The pool and the hot tub were kept up perfectly (pool cleaning guy comes twice a week) and were used quite a bit. The company responds fast to text but didn't necesarrily take care of our issues. The only issues we had were not "deal breakers" and I am just stating a few negatives of our stay. There is a small back year area that our kids wanted to use for a few games they brought and the grass was really high and it was unusable. We contacted the agency and they said because of the rain they couldn't get to it (all other lawns were being cut around this house while we were there). The dishwasher didn't work (it barely used the detergent and didn't dry dishes). We contacted them again and they said they would send someone and didn't....and to add to that, there were no dish towels for drying. We just used paper towel. With a little TLC (outdoor pressure washing/weeding) and oiling some sliding doors this place would be rated the highest. The pans are old and probably need replacing but worked. Overall we were very happy with our stay and really enjoyed our vacation.

Lollygaggers has great potential to receive a 5rating, however I can’t provide that. We all understand a summer beach house has a fast turnover. Lollygaggers needs a good deep cleaning and replacement of several things. OUTSIDE: Sand & a deceased crab in the pool suggests it had not received maintenance/cleaning before our arrival. 2 black trash cans, one was completely full and other was half full. For our 3 nights w/ 9 people, that’s not sufficient for all our trash. Grass needed cut and some fence boards need repair. Grill had not been cleaned, ashes spread throughout the grass area. INSIDE: Grease buildup in multiple areas in the kitchen, mold/mildew in bathroom off the kitchen. Wire coming out of the toaster. Window unit in kitchen & main living space upstairs with duct tape. It’s quite hot up on the third floor. The floors did appear to have been vacuumed/swept however if you walk in socks or barefoot, they will be black. One 1st floor bedrooms is missing a Roku remote. Some bedroom remotes need new batteries. All couches are in need of cleaning. Two windows on third floor with the screens left sitting in living space. Hand railing is in major need of cleaning. We surface cleaned the high touch areas but this property truly needs a good deep cleaning. POSITIVES: nice location (although on main road, traffic noise was manageable) elevator worked. OF NOTE: property management company was not called about any of the above because it did not hinder our ability to stay.
