Whiritoa is a small, laid-back beach village between Waihi and Whangamata. Swim between the flags, let the little ones enjoy the lagoon, or take the bush walk to the blowhole. A 15-minute stroll north brings you to Waimana Bay – crystal clear water, white sand, and shady pohutukawas.

Local store, playground, surf club (summer takeaways + cold beer), and tennis courts all nearby.

We can provide a quote for a local cleaner and we ask that any group booking (6 adults) to pay a compulsory cleaning/inspection fee (approx $90 for a 3 hour clean).

Great family holiday

We really enjoyed our stay. The house is located on a quiet street a short walk from the beach. Its well equipped and had plenty of games & toys that my kids loved. Communication was good & I'd happily stay there again.

Christmas 2024 Stay

We really enjoyed our stay, loved the multiple outdoor deck options, outdoor furniture, lockable shed for storing body boards, polished concrete floors, well designed for a beach break. We’d definitely choose to stay here again.

Beautiful family home

Whiritoa is a lovely quiet little beach perfect for families. The property had everything we needed for a lovely stay, with no tv which suited us perfectly. Everything is in walking distance. The owner communicated with us often enough to check all was going well and the house was clean and tidy when we arrived. Thanks we would love to stay again.

This home ticks all the boxes. Warm, vibrant, great indoor outdoor flow with everything you need. We loved the games, bikes and sitting by the outdoor fire. Perfect for families - being able to close off from the hub of the home so little ones can sleep is fantastic. Loved our stay! We will be back.

Fantastic getaway

The perfect home for a family escape. Well appointed and modern, this home is perfect for smaller groups with easy walking access to beach, local shop and surf club. Very quiet neighbourhood with friendly neighbours. We stayed when the weather wasn’t amazing but a great selection of board games is available. Heat pump is a bonus too. Aimee is a great host!

great spot. modern, clean and practical house. decks on three sides of house. you could choose to either follow the sun or the shade as you pleased. loved staying here, able to wander done to surf club for a swim in a matter of minutes. sparkling water and blue sky days, will be back.

Wonderful place to stay

Perfect beach house for a family or small group of friends. Quiet neighbourhood, and great place with several outdoor areas for shade or sun, and lots of spaces and comfy places to relax. It’s also a beautiful part of country. Would definitely rent again or recommend to friends. Easy stroll to the beach, and we loved the walk over the headland to Waimama Beach. Aimee was very helpful, and easily contactable for any queries. We would have loved to have stayed longer. Thanks again.
