Perfect cozy getaway near Snowshoe

We had an amazing stay at this cabin in Slaty Fork! The location was perfect just a short drive to Snowshoe Mountain, making it super convenient for skiing. The cabin itself was clean, cozy, and well-stocked with everything we needed for a comfortable stay.The fireplace and hot tub made for the perfect spot to relax after a long day on the slopes, and the scenic surroundings added to the charm. The host was great, responsive and helpful throughout our stay.

Enjoyed our stay at this well loved cabin. Pros: Amazing views. Plenty of space, kitchen had everything we needed (didn’t cook much though, just coffee and breakfast), the hot tub was great after a day of snowboarding. Cons: downstairs bed was not the most comfortable (box spring), shower heads could be updated. A solid 20 minute drive to Snowshoe. Would prefer to be closer if going back exclusively to snowboard. If you’re planning to do other activities stay here for sure!! Check in was super easy. No need to communicate with the host as everything was worked well and we had no issues.

So glad you enjoyed the views, space, and hot tub after snowboarding, and that check-in was smooth. The box spring in the downstairs bed has since been repaired, and the shower heads have been cleaned and sanitized and are working fine. As for the drive to Snowshoe, we can't change the distance, but in good weather it's usually under 15 minutes. Hope to host you again for another mix of activities!

Great Cabin close to Snowshoe

Cabin was BEAUTIFUL. Plenty of room for my family and my sister’s family. Well stocked kitchen, it even had a rice cooker and crock pot! And the hot tub was *chef’s kiss* after a day on the slopes. You will need chains/4WD on the driveway in the winter, that’s not an exaggeration!! Super close to Snowshoe, we never felt like it took too long to get there. Rent your skis at the bottom of the hill and it’s a straight shot to the lifts. Host was very helpful and communicative. Definitely considering staying there again!
