Cheviot Views - Gorgeous apartment-style accommodation with extensive views in handy location

Location, Location, Location!
What a spot - perched overlooking the estuary and the magnificent sand dunes, this gorgeous apartment-style accommodation is awaiting a single or couple to come and enjoy all that Mangawhai has to offer. Access to the estuary is just a stroll down Lincoln St and you can also walk to the golf course, cafes and shops and the Mangawhai Activity Zone.
Cheviot Views was inspired by apartment style living and has been designed to comfortably accommodate a couple with 1 bedroom with a Queen, and 1 bathroom. The accommodation is detached from the main house where the owners live and has been designed to give you privacy during your stay.
Cooking facilities are in the form of a kitchenette with a 2 hot plate hob and microwave oven or alternatively just fire up the BBQ! There is a small bar fridge to keep your supplies cold.
There is also a heat pump to keep it comfortable all year round and a Smart TV.
Please note that the only off-street parking is on the grass in front of the unit but it can be parked on unless very wet. There is parking on the side of the road immediately in front of the unit.
LINEN OPTIONS: To keep your holiday more affordable, for this property we offer linen as an optional extra for guests who prefer to bring their own. If you choose to bring your own linen, you will need to supply top and bottom sheets, pillowcases, towels and bath mats. Pillows, Duvets and Duvet covers will be provided.
Alternatively, a rental linen package is available for $25 per person. To request this service, please add a note to your booking specifying the number of people requiring linen and which beds you would like prepared.
BOOKING PAYMENT: Although your credit card details are taken during the booking process, we won't automatically charge your credit card. Once your booking is approved we will send you a payment email with a choice of credit card payment (a 3% surcharge applies) or bank transfer (no charges).

The place is close to all amenities, very clean and tidy. Perfect for a couple. Air-conditioning which is a bonus. Quiet, well stocked with everything you need. Great hosts. We have booked before and will book again.

A little spoilt by the building under construction which blocked out part of the sea view which was not expected from the advertising material. First time in Mangawhai and was pleased with many places of interest.

Great location and apartment

The size of the venue was just right for 1-2 people - very compact but well thought out. The address was centrally located between Mangawhai Heads and the Mangawhai Village. I spent one day just touring around the nearby highlighted sights to see and every one of them was special. Excellent eating out and take away options. I would go again if the opportunity arose.

Great location near the beach

For a single person or a couple this property is suitable. It is a small space but has great light and is right across the road from the coast. The owner is attentive and great to deal with and the host checked in with us and assured we had all that was required. The weather was unfortunately not great so we didn't get to enjoy our stay as we would have wished.

Perfect getaway

Due to cyclone Gabrielle me and my partner decided to have a holiday somewhere not too far from Auckland and mangawhai provided all. If you enjoy sipping tea or coffee and just watch the sun rising from the ocean,it is the perfect place to stay in. Our host are very kind and helpful, giving us lots of freedom and privacy, the cabin was very clean and tidy as well. We felt really welcomed and definitely recommend this hidden gem in mangawhai heads.

The property was very nice and comfortable. It had everything we needed for our stay. We were a bit disappointed that the view of the estuary/ocean was obstructed by a container on the front property. It would have been nice to be advised in advance of our stay that this was the case. We do love a view.

Stunning view in a special place

The view is what makes this spot truly special. We loved having dinner BBQs and seeing the change in the dunes. The accom has exactly what you need. Our one issue was that we had to close the windows early each evening due to mosquitos and then got so hot! The little fan was great but either more cooling or mosquito window covers would go a long way.

Holiday with construction site views

There have been advertised gorgeous views. The reality is, that you have adetailed view on an construction container. This container stands there für quite a long time. In one word it was a holiday on a construction aite. You should advertise in a different way.

Cheviot Views

My husband and I absolutely loved our stay in this very tidy apartment style property. The hosts Ashly was so warm, welcoming and really accommodating to our needs. He allowed us to park our ute on the front lawn and also spoke to the neighbour to ask if we could use a small section of their property to park our small boat. The accommodation is very clean, modern and tidy with all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay for two. A short drive to the town centre, the village and all that Mangawhai has to offer. The view of the Dunes is slightly obstructed by the construction across the road, but you are fully aware of this in the description. Thank you for an amazing stay and I look forward to coming back again.

Quiet Estuary retreat

Lovely quiet spot to stay for a couple. Close to the estuary. The studio was lovely and warm with the bar heater on. There is building going on across the road (which we were told about) which upsets the outlook, but you still have an impressive view to the right of the construction site of the estuary and beyond. It was what we expected and we were very comfortable there. Lovely and clean. Helpful local information supplied in a folder. Nice bed and a reasonable shower with good pressure. I'd recommend to take slippers as the floor is polished concrete. There are carpet rugs in the bedroom and the lounge though. Thank you for the stay.

Mangawhai

Cheviot Views is such a fab little place to stay. Very handy to everything just a shame there was construction of a new hone happening over the road as that detracted the peace and quiet. But apart from that even the horrid weather didn't stop us from enjoying our stay there.
