Mount Victoria is very quiet and blissfully calm. There are no crowds of tourists, rows of shops or busy restaurants. We think this makes our village extra special, however if you are looking for lots of shopping and busy lookouts, the cottage is only 15-20 minutes by car or train from the more well-known tourist hotspots of Katoomba or Leura.
The cottage is located conveniently close to Mount Victoria train station, with fantastic cafes, quirky antique stores, gift shops, parks and spectacular scenic lookouts only steps from the front door.

Lovely garden. Spacious kitchen. The owners made a real effort to make the house look and feel authentic. Although, we would appreciate a few modern upgrades. A dishwasher, a bench or shelf in the bathroom, a fan - especially for the attic. And the plumbing needs a look at as the bathroom floor floods when the bath is emptied. However we had a really great adventure. It was the perfect base to access bushwalking with swimming holes and cafes with scones and tea.

Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, location
Disliked: Communication, listing accuracy
The property was lovely as a historic building. However there were accessibility issues as in no railing on the front steps and the high bath and shower . Also a visibility strip on the stair inside would be good. The garden is lovely but due to the bad weather we could not enjoy it as much.
