Nice Lakeside Cottage

The cottage is in a very quiet and remote part of New Hampshire, and is a great place to get away from it all! The lake is tranquil and crystal clean. We enjoyed our stay.

Pure Magic!

What a beautiful, breathtaking property on the lake! We truly had a magical stay! This cottage is just so pretty, it reminded us of something out the pages of a fairytale. Many wonderful memories were made that we will cherish always.

My family decided to stay at this beautiful home instead of staying with our family in Unity, NH and boy was it was a great decision! The house was perfect. Lots of room, kitchen was nice and big, dining room table sat the whole family, beautiful room with lots of morning light for yoga and reading, all with being right on the lake. Fun toys for the water too. We hit some chilly weather staying in early May, but we still hopped on the paddle board and pedal boat 😂 The stay was perfect! Thanks Casey for being quick to respond with any of our needs! Def will rent again!

Beautiful home in a lovely location

My family had a wonderful week, and Casey's hospitality and attention to detail made it all the more enjoyable. He often responded to questions about the home within the hour! The photos accurately reflected the quality of the home, and the amenities were all available as described. We made frequent use of the gourmet kitchen and outdoor fire pit (even the wood was included!). There were plenty of activities to keep us busy and happy: games on a rainy day, kayaking, looking at the Milky Way while sitting around the fire. It was a fantastic trip and would look forward to returning in the future!

Great Family Get Away

Our family of 10 (including 4 young grandchildren) enjoyed a fabulous 2 weeks. The house is charming - clean, well maintained, cozy yet spacious. I loved the owner's extensive toy train and oil lamp collections! We especially appreciated the recently renovated kitchen, complete with every appliance and amenity one could hope for. There is a large eating area both inside and out and the outdoor fire pit hosted several evenings of "S'mores" for the grandchildren. The family enjoyed the kayaks and paddle boat and fishing from the dock. One afternoon was spend at near by Lake Sunapee where we took a boat excursion around the lake. In addition Newport (20 minutes away) is a small, quiet yet charming New England town with cute shops and a great farmer's market on Friday afternoons! Casey, the owner, was most obliging and helpful. This is a great spot if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle and relax and enjoy the lake and fabulous views of New Hampshire!

We had a wonderful experience and will definitely go back next year!!

My wife and I were looking for a last minute getaway with the kids and found this property a few days prior to our planned trip. First of all, the owner Casey Sewall was extremely flexible in accommodating a last minute booking for less than a week. He was also extremely organized and responsive to any questions I had about the location and home. Once we arrived at the home we were so impressed with the location which sits on a peaceful cove of Crescent Lake. We have three little kids (4 years, 2 years and 8 months) and two well-trained dogs and the home was fantastic. The inside decor is very well done and quaint...perfect for a summer getaway. Everything was very clean and you can tell this home is well cared for by owners and renters alike. The instructions and info about the home were very clear and easy to follow. There wasn't anything that was lacking. We loved using the various boats, kayaks and canoe for peaceful excursions on the lake. This is a very peaceful lake and great for just relaxing. We would definitely plan another trip up next year.

Excellent location, great house and very pleasant owners.

We stayed at this home in July of 2010 with a large group of people and found it to be an excellent experience. The house is beautiful and is located in a great little cove perfect for the paddle boat and kayaks that are included with the property. Our kids and some of the seniors who were with us spent days paddling around the cove while those of us with a desire to water ski made good use of the open lake. We also found the fishing to be very good and caught some beautiful perch on the other side of the lake. One word of advice if boating - be cautious of the rock in the middle of the lake. The home owners association has the area marked as a channel when in fact they intend to warn you to stay out of the area. We found this out at 20 mph with a boat full of people and ended up destroying our prop. Luckily there is a full service marina not too far away and we were able to get back out on the water later the same day. That incident aside, this is a small but excellent lake and the home is fantastic. We highly recommend this home and we would love to stay there again in the future.

Great winter stay at Crescent Lake - close to skiing and winter lake adventure!

My family and I booked a seasonal rental at Casey and Judith's country lake home on Crescent Lake. Our stay spanned mostly weekends from Dec - April, though we spent two weeks at the home around Xmas/New Years and again in March for Spring Break. We were able to enjoy winter skiing, as well as the end of the fall and beginning of Spring. The home was a perfect escape while we were all learning how to cope with the challenges of COVID. We were able to enjoy a home away from home and natural beautiful surroundings with the safety of social distancing. The house is terrific - very well-sized and comfortable. During the winter, the downstairs bedroom was on the cooler side, so we utilized the upstairs bedrooms. The entry has a large mud room / TV room where we were able to store ski boots and warm up before and after trips to the mountain. The kitchen is very large with top of the line appliances and well-stocked with all the kitchen equipment you will need. There is a lovely long dining table which provided ample space for all our meals, as well as great space for our kids to work on projects and schoolwork. The living room had wonderfully comfortable couches and large coffee table which served as ground zero for many LEGO structures. There are several heating systems which we were able to set or program, with one thermostat that we could control via the internet - which enabled us to warm up the house before our weekly drive up. Our children loved playing outside - we built many snowmen and took a few quick sledding trips down the sloping grounds, and once spring was on the horizon, my kids enjoyed exploring the property as well as the local beach just adjacent to the home. At the height of winter we took walks onto the lake - wow! - and really enjoyed seeing the many local snowmobilers show off their skills on the lake. The home was 20-24 min drive to Mt. Sunapee. We even used the BBQ on a weekly basis (even in the height of the winter) and made great use of the XL washer/dryer in the basement. We were even able to use the xmas tree and create a festive environment for our children when COVID kept us from visiting family out of state. There is a garage that keeps a snow blower and a generator. We did sign up for local plowing service which came in handy several times we experienced major snow fall. The home is near two local towns with great super markets. Overall, an excellent stay and many thanks to Casey for his responsiveness/hospitality.

We had a wonderful stay. We really appreciated the spaciousness and cozy cottage atmosphere. Access to the lake was great. We were able to use the kayaks and pedal boat with ease. A lot of time in the evening was spent playing ping pong downstairs, which we really appreciated. Very happy overall with the place. Thank you!

Quiet location with great water access for small children

The location of the house is wonderful, it has a beautiful, private backyard. The walk-in access to the water was great for the small children in our group. I would recommend water shoes for the mucky bottom.The house was spacious however the rugs were not vacuumed. The pool cues were not useable, all the tips were gone. And when we went to make our beds (clean sheets were left folded on each bed) the sheets were damp.

Family vacation

Had a real nice stay! Everyone was comfortable w plenty of room to spread out both inside and out. On hotter days, the upstairs A/Cs did the job. Downstairs living space unit also made the area comfortable. The bedroom on that floor was a little hot as no unit in that room. Communication with the owner was superb, any minor problems that came up were resolved asap (a coffe pot dilemma! An order was placed for a new one and was delivered to the house within 3 hours!)and that they were going to look into getting A/C for said bedroom. At least others would benefit from that, if not us! My son brought his boat and tied up at the house which made for more fun. Communication regarding boat access etc was also great. Beds were comfy, kitchen was well stocked, fridge clean! We used paddle boards to get out to deeper water in the cove as it was shallow and a bit weedy from the dock.Excellent hosts, contact direct thru text super fast. My crew of me, my spouse, two sons, their wives and an infant grandbaby very much enjoyed the house, the yard, the dock and the fire pit too one evening. Nice place to stay!

Wonderful house with plenty of room! The pictures do not do the space enough justice. The host was super communicative and that was great! Plenty of cookware and spices made our cooking easier. It was rainy during our stay but had plenty of games and activities to keep us entertained in the beautiful family room.

This was the perfect house to gather our family together for our holiday celebrations. The kitchen and dining area were able to accommodate us comfortably and the kitchen was well equipped to handle cooking complete meals easily. The location was quiet and peaceful. We loved that ice skates were available to use on the lake. The host was also quick to respond to all messages and check-in was very simple. We made lots of great memories and look forward to returning again in the future.

A perfect getaway.

The house was beautiful inside and out. Everything was very clean and very comfortable, and the view of the lake was outstanding. For the winter months the lower level with the pool table was cold, but we were still able to enjoy it. The host of the property had exceptionally good communication and was attentive and helpful. We were very happy with our stay and would definitely go back again.

Family holiday dream

Tucked into the lakeside this cottage offered loads of space for our family of four (it can hold up to eleven people!) I loved the kitchen layout, made good use of the griddle, and enjoyed the huge dining table for dinner conversations. Casey checked with us before our trip and graciously left out the water sports. We took advantage of the canoe, as well as the indoor fun with the pool table and the games. It was the perfect place for us and our two university daughters to enjoy.

Serene Lakefront Retreat

Amazing extended family getaway. Kids had a ball on the paddle boards, paddleboat, and kayaks, as well as fishing on our boat which we were able to dock right at the house! Great room to play in the backyard, cook s’mores over a fire and plenty of room to hang out inside and cook/ watch Copa America games. Plenty of seating for eating and lounging! Looking to book again, which says it all!
