The Eagle's Rest is a lakefront cabin located on the north shore of the Lake Quinault inside the Olympic National Park. It offers 180 degree breathtaking view of the lake and the surrounding mountains. Among the many things to do around here, here are few popular options. This is an old cabin and it brings with it the distinct aroma of mothballs and mold the moment you open the door. The accommodations were ok, but for what we paid we expected more. Could’ve used a more thorough cleaning and we saw plenty of evidence of mice. The exterior was more overgrown than is shown in the pictures, and the deck and patio furniture have definitely aged since the photos were taken. We ended up leaving earlier than planned.

Had a wonderful time escaping the hustle and bustle of the cities for a long weekend at Lake Quinault! The view of the mountains and lake was top rate, with easy access to the walking loop and other trails. If you bring a boat the launch is the very next driveway and very convenient (of course be sure to read the lake rules to prevent promotion of invasive species). There is a propane cooker onsite that wasn’t advertised and will be appreciated by anyone staying there.Renters should remember that this is a cottage not a luxury home, so expect clean for a cottage or cabin, not a luxury home. Tim the caretaker is easily available to answer calls or discuss issues, which were minor and normal wear and tear type things you might expect. For dogs, I would highly recommend this cottage due to your ability to block off the deck and keep then nearby with lots of wandering space. We’ve already referred this property to a friend!

Family trip to the lake

Overall the cabin was a really nice place for a weekend at the lake. It had pretty much everything you need to enjoy the lakefront: grill, canoe, large porch to enjoy the view.

Beautiful log cabin, had everything needed for a comfortable stay. The beds were so comfortable. The view from the deck is incredible, and the canoes were a wonderful surprise. Make sure to stay up late and catch the moon rising over the mountains, was quite possibly the most magical thing Ive ever witnessed. We seen a deer munching on the vegetation alot of slugs, they were so cool! Only problem was that the washer machine leaks, other than that it was a perfect getaway

Gorgeous view the of lake and mountains. easy access to the hiking trails. We are continuously improving and add amenities to the property. Both bathrooms have been totally remodeled this winter(2021).
