Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Viewpoint, this beautiful property with its amenities provided for a truly relaxing getaway for everyone. The checkin process was easy and the kitchen was well stocked with all equipment needed to prepare meals that provided for the culinary needs of our group of 12. Highly recommend this gem of a property perfectly located within and reasonable driving distance to Olympic National Park sites.
It was a beautiful property for an all girl/family trip beautiful property and lots of fun things to do from kayaking play scrabble, s’mores at bonfire to cooking meals. Thank you for hosting us
The home and property exceeded are expectations accommodating 13 adults and children. We rented the house and extra sleeping space in the garage so everyone had room and good sleeping space. The home and property are older, yet the lived in feel of the home space and lake front access are what makes the property special.
Had a wonderful time at this property. Plenty of space to spread out, kitchen well stocked, enjoyed the fire pit, views, and location! Would definitely stay here again.
We had a great time with a family of various ages. We all loved playing in the lake and enjoying the views. The house is wonderful and accommodated us well.

Nice home.
This was a wonderful place to stay, comfortable, secluded and fun. It was well maintained and easy to use. Owners were easy to work with.
The house and location of this property was incredible. The location of this home was one of the best we had. It was so private and the views from the house were as good as it gets. We also had easy access to many places in the park. The only thing I would note is that we were three older adult couples and the third bedroom as noted had a murphy bed. It also had no windows and required keeping the door open at night, so it didn't get too stuffy and required walking downstairs to go to the bathroom when people were sleeping in the master bedroom. If that is an issue it would be worth considering renting one of the apartments too.
We had a great stay exploring Olympic Nat’l Park but Lake Quinalt is a destination on its own. It was the perfect base in a spacious home with an incredible deck and view
This is a wonderful place. The location is perfect, secluded and close to lots of hiking trails. Great for dogs. The house is beautiful and well kept. We had a wonderful thanksgiving break here.
Only 2 people were able to participate but we had such a relaxing fun time. Visiting the largest spruce tree and eating pizza at Dino’s to walking the property reading books, playing air hockey to one night in the hot tub. Owner responded in a great manner when I had questions
This was our second stay at this property and even more enjoyable than our first! Because of the first, my husband and I bought kayaks. Everyone had the best time. Hiked over by the lodge and ate berries that became a quest for all. Peaceful, restful, and best birthday!
We had a fabulous time staying at this house. The location and access to fun outdoor activities in and around Olympic NP was perfect, and we also appreciated the amenities of the house. Kayaks, tons of extra towels and cozy blankets, fully stocked kitchen tools for cooking our own meals. The beds were comfortable and everything was clean and easy to find. The views and peacefulness of the house are unmatched. Loved our stay. 4 adults and 4 children 3, 5, 7, 9 years old.
The home was perfect for eleven of us, 6 adults and 5 kids. The house was well stocked and super clean. Comfortable beds. We rented the house plus both apts in the garage. Both the house and the garage apts. far exceeded our expectations. Beautiful location on lakefront with huge lawn between house and lake. Decks were well equipped with furniture for relaxing. Wi-Fi worked great, especially concerning everyone had devices. Hot tub worked perfectly. Nice added amenity was use of paddle boards and kayaks. All in all, not a negative thought of this location.
Thank you for sharing your beautiful home it was very tranquil I enjoyed walking around property. I will be coming back definitely every year to enjoy my coffee in the sunroom to watching and listening to the wildlife and to finishing the day with yoga infront of the gigantic window looking out at the lake. Thank you again for being so hospitable.
We had a lovely weekend enjoying the magic of Lake Quinault. The home provides lots of sleeping options and the kitchen is very well stocked with a very nice stove and fridge. It was the lake outside that made the place outstanding. The big lawn where we could play lawn games, having our own access to swim and kayak was amazing. It felt like a family home not a pristine vacation rental. We really enjoyed it.
Extremely well equipped and provisioned rental house. Tons of room for a family of four. Kids and parents alike had fun playing air hockey, family games, kayaking (2 come with the rental!), picking and eating blackberries, lounging in the hot tub, fishing and swimming. Beautiful private lakefront property was just a joy to wake up to every day. Would highly recommend.
This was out 2nd stay at this property. It couldn't be more welcoming, like staying in a beautiful home. There are so many comfortable places to relax and enjoy the majesty of the mountains surrounded by woods and on the lake. The new deck really enhances the look. This time we rented all the additional apartments, they didn't disappoint. Our whole family enjoyed the hot tub & air hockey table. Our 2 dogs loved to just run & romp. We loved the fire pit, made smores and loved the use of the kayak and paddle boards. Cleo is easy to work with. My family cherished our family gathering there.
Beautiful home that's privately situated at the end of the road on the lake. There are paddle boards and kayaks to enjoy the lake with and games and plenty of movie options to just relax if it's too rainy out. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need to cook or bbq. The home is large and open with a nice double-sided gas fireplace to chase the chill of rain away. The hot tub is perfectly situated to enjoy a view of the lake, yet under cover to enjoy in any kind of weather. We were greated by otters in the lake and deer in the small field on our arrival. We chose to do a lot of hiking and we were happy to find plenty of trails close by. The trail of 1,000 waterfalls was our favorite. We would definitely stay here again!

About the host
Hosted by Cleo Risser
My name is Cleo. I am the mother of 2 and currently live in Olympia, WA. I grew up in Lake Quinault and as an 18 year old, could not wait to leave. I attended college on the East coast near Boston, MA and found myself truly missing this beautiful place. I missed the trees, I missed the Pacific ocean beaches, I missed the stars, I missed the sound of the frogs at night and I even missed the ridiculous amounts of rain. I returned to Lake Quinault after college and shortly afterwards, married my best friend who shares my love for the area. We lived in the community for a few years operating his family's business. We moved to Olympia in 2002 to pursue our careers and are now only a 2 hour drive away from our vacation home.
Why they chose this property
My husband bought this property well before we built this home together. He recognized the unique beauty of this property sitting at the end of a dead end private drive with so many feet of private lake frontage. We built the home with the intent to live in the valley and operate his family's business. Our paths changed after a few years and we both opted to pursue different careers requiring a move to Olympia. My husband's parents moved into the home and slowly added on. They built the garage and apartment above, they added the spacious recreation room and the sunroom and the garage studio/exercise/game room, to be able to accommodate all of their family to visit. After we had our first baby, they retired and moved to Olympia to be near us. We feel grateful to be able to keep this beautiful home in our family while also providing the opportunity to share it with guests who also understand and appreciate the beauty of this unique area!. We visit this beautiful area as much as we can with our family; our two children and our dog love it!
What makes this property unique
The privacy of this property is second to none in the area. I cannot imagine finding another place like this....some of my favorite moments in life have been here...staying up all night laying on the lawn watching a meteor shower...listening to frogs while in the hot tub staring at the mountains across the lake....waking up and sitting with my coffee in the sunroom gazing at the picture perfect scene with a layer of fog reflecting in the lake like glass....sitting around a bonfire with my family and friends telling stories and laughing...teaching my kids to swim...watching the rain pour out of the sky like buckets as the lake level creeps up higher and higher and the electricity flickers during a fine winter storm while snuggled up inside with flashlights ready...
