Location very convenient. We really appreciate the investment in a beautiful home with extraordinary woodwork and features not found in homes built since WWII. Easy access to many areas and within 15-20 minutes of nearly every city locale and lots of closer suburbs. Would definitely stay there again

Beautiful Antique Home

This home was a perfect spot for our memorial day family celebration. The communication with the host was excellent booking was simple, check-in was easy. The home was very clean and the decor was beautiful. If we ever returned to the St. Louis area, we will consider booking this home again.

Amazing property for a group of people. Main room perfect to gather and enjoy. Highly recommend. Property manager was very communicative. Check in/out times restrictive but they do accommodate, if possible.

The house was a perfect fit for our large family visiting the St. Louis area. It was the perfect landing spot at the end of the day with a nice size dining room and living room for us to hang out. Each of the bedrooms are a good size and beds were comfortable. Better or room darkening blinds/curtains would have been fantastic, especially since the curtains on the front bedroom specifically didn't even cover the whole window which was not great when it was dark outside and I was trying to undress for bed. Also, changing the temperature required going outside to a lock box and then using that key to unlock the thermostat. Seems unnecessarily complicated just to cool the house two more degrees.There was plenty of on street parking and we could fit two spots in the back parking pad, but the rear door lock didn't work to unlock and get in the house so someone had to run around to the front. Quiet neighborhood with a lot of improvement going on.Overall it was clean and comfortable and certainly spacious. Even with the super complicated rental confirmation process it was worth it to stay in this home.

Dealing with the property managers of Abodebucks and Vrbo, they need to get on the same page with conflicting info and instructions Terrible communications. Messages and photos sent to VRBO did not get communicated to Abodebucks. The property was old and needed a lot of upgrades. I don’t think it would ever pass any building codes. Steps were uneven, the slip pads on the front steps were not glued down. . The back screen door closer was broken. The bathtub panel fell off. A nail was sticking up in the handrail to the backyard. Abodebucks security company put my personal information in a biometric database. I don’t think I’ll be staying at a VRBO property ever again.

The house offers plenty of room, but is in much need of some updating. We had no air conditioning for our first day. The property manager said they were working on getting someone there, but it was quite hot for the first day and night of our stay. The furnishings in the living area are broken down and need replaced. The carpet upstairs has multiple spots and should be replaced. The house has charm, but it needs some sprucing up. The kitchen isn’t well stocked with utensils and pots and pans. What is available in the kitchen is old and definitely needs replacing. It could be a lovely spot, but needs some loving care.
