Warm pleasant stay

Our team of 10 was able to relax and enjoy our stay last week. It was just what we needed. Plenty of bedrooms, good parking and convenient location to Riverbend camp. I think many other people will enjoy a night or two here as well.

Even better than the pictures!

Our cycling team rented Ron & Melissa's house for the Gravel Locos bike race in Hico. The house was even bigger and better than it looked in the pictures. It served as team headquarters for the weekend with plenty of room for team dinners on Friday and Saturday nights. Unbelievable location within walking distance of downtown Glen Rose. Beautiful property and very private feeling. Everything you need for an amazing weekend- we used the grill, the hot tub, foos ball table, etc. The hosts were easy to work with and very helpful and responsive. Would 100% book here again! Can't recommend enough.

They gave the wrong code to get in, when asking the owner for the new cold was brushed off because he was on the phone. Apparently I should have just stood there waiting for him to decide when he could respond. He opens the door and leaves without giving me the new code. Beware of all the cockroaches, they are the size of Texas and check bags before you leave. We had several family members with roaches in their suitcases when they arrived home. Plus the 2 bedrooms on the right side of the house were very hot at night. The air conditioner did not come through the vents making it sweltering to sleep at night

Perfect home for a perfect Family Christmas

This was the second year in a row that we were blessed to spend three days in a perfect home for our family of 11! The Christmas decorations were throughout the immaculately clean 5 bedroom, 5.5 bath home away from home. It was perfect for our granddaughter's family wedding shower in the game room and our Christmas in the living room around the fireplace. The house layout was perfect for having late-night games in the game room and the boy's oversized bedroom while we "olders" slept. Quiet time was enjoyed in the hot tub and the huge balcony off the living room overlooking the downtown area (walking distance from the home.) I have rented a home every year for over 20 years for our family get-together, and this is the only time we have returned to any of those twenty homes. I plan on doing the same next year. Thank you so much, Ron and Melissa! You were terrific hosts.

Everything about this place is perfect and just what you want if you’re looking to get away and enjoy Glen Rose and relax. I will say a couple of things: 1) the hot tub takes a good amount of time to warm up so know that beforehand and set the temp and then go watch a movie.2) The photos of the game room shows a pinball machine and an air hockey but there’s only a foosball table. Not deal breakers but just wanted to let others know because my kids were a little disappointed in the “lack” of games that they thought they were getting.Ron and Melissa are wonderful hosts and my family of 5 enjoyed having the whole house to ourselves.

This is the place to stay in Glen Rose. We had a party of 8 people and the house with 5 bedrooms easily accommodated our group. The rooms were spacious, the house was clean and the communication with the hosts was super easy. We’ll definitely rent again!!!!

Laid back and relaxing

I really enjoyed the front porch for my morning coffee and afternoon relaxation. Our two pre-teens loved the game room. The home is spacious and comfortable and located on a nice breezy hill overlooking the historic downtown area. We stayed 5 days and enjoyed all the surrounding activities.

Everything you need!

The house has everything you need for a great stay in Glen Rose! The owners were super helpful and always close by if we needed anything. Loved that everyone had their own room and bathroom. Great location

This is a great house for families. The house is huge and tons of room outside for the kids to run around. Several different patios and decks to relax outside depending on the time of day. Easy walking distance to downtown square and Big Rocks park and just a short drive to Dinosaur Valley, Fossil Rim, etc.
