About this property
Maleny Scenic Retreat
Summary:
Welcome to Maleny Scenic Retreat, a stylish 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom Sunshine Coast hinterland escape in the rural area of Wootha on the Maleny border. Perched in an elevated position with sweeping views of the Glasshouse Mountains, rolling Maleny hills, and lush treetops, this architecturally designed home combines refined mid-century modern style with a warm, homely feel. Gather with a drink around the outdoor fire pit or unwind by the fireplace in the open-plan living area and separate lounge.
The Space:
Tucked away in a peaceful rural setting on the edge of Maleny, this stunningly designed retreat offers a private sanctuary of style and comfort. Showcasing mid-century inspired furnishings, soaring vaulted ceilings with glass panels, and a luxurious ambiance throughout. The spacious open-plan living area centres around a cosy wood-burning fireplace, complemented by ducted air conditioning in this space that flows through to the bedrooms for year-round comfort. Expansive windows frame sweeping views of the rolling countryside and the iconic Glasshouse Mountains, while the modern kitchen is complete with generous bench space, an induction cooktop, oven, fridge, coffee machine, microwave, and dishwasher. Relax in the inviting lounge with leather sofas by the fire, gather around the dining table for eight, or step through sliding glass doors to the alfresco haven, featuring a large dining table, outdoor lounges, built-in BBQ, and a firepit overlooking the picturesque surroundings. A dedicated mid-century style office adjoins the main living zone, and a second lounge on the other side of the home with a chaise sofa and smart TV (apps only) provides another cosy retreat. The three beautifully appointed bedrooms, each with views of the outdoors are dressed in premium hotel-quality linen, ensuring a restful stay with breathtaking views from every room.
Bedroom 1: The primary suite is a private retreat on the right wing of the home, featuring a king-sized bed, ceiling fan, and a spacious walk-in wardrobe that leads directly to a sleek modern ensuite. Warming or cooling ducted air-conditioning from the living area also flows through to this room.
Bathroom 1: The ensuite offers a contemporary touch of luxury, complete with a walk-in shower, vanity, and toilet.
Bedroom 2: A stylish and inviting room with a queen bed, ceiling fan, and built-in wardrobe, complemented by serene views through sliding glass doors.
Bedroom 3: Another beautifully appointed room featuring a queen bed, ceiling fan, and built-in wardrobe, also enjoying stunning outlooks from the glass sliding doors.
Bunk Bed: Ideal for children, the hallway includes a built-in bunk bed, creating a fun and practical sleeping space.
Laundry: Neatly concealed behind a roller door in the hallway, the laundry is fitted with a front-loading washing machine and heat pump dryer for guest convenience.
Guest Access:
Guests have full access to the entire home, including parking for two cars in the double carport. Additional parking is available on the driveway for 1-2 cars, we do not advise parking on the street due to the hard kerb.
