House by the Lake in natural setting in Chelsea

Live the good life in this unique and peaceful waterfront home. You'll be surrounded by nature—birds, turtles, otters, and deer are there every day! Relax on the huge deck by the pool. Or on the dock with a glass of wine. Go paddleboarding, pedal boating or enjoy the trails in Gatineau Park. Prepare a BBQ or cook up a storm in the chef-worthy kitchen. There are many great spots to enjoy your coffee or meal: in the dining room, in the 3-season screened-in veranda, on the deck or on the back patio.

There is something to please everyone regardless of seasons. In Winter, you are close to Gatineau Park cross-country and snowshoeing trails. Camp Fortune downhill ski station is 20 minutes away. You can also skate or do ice fishing directly on the lake, or head to the nearby park where kids can sled down the hill or skate at the rink. After your winter activities, cozy up to the fire in the outdoor fire pit or inside with the propane fireplace or wood stove.

Witness the full effect of nature in springtime as migrating birds stop over on the lake and fruit trees are in bloom. The saltwater pool is available late spring and is heated. It's a great time to golf at the nearby golf course (5 minutes away), mini-golf (15 minutes away), or go for a hike in the Gatineau park and see the rushing water in the nearby cascade (10 minutes away on foot). Fawns are regularly seen prancing and resting on the property. At this time of the year, you can also head out on the lake using the pedal boat and paddleboards at your disposal.

Summer and Fall bring a plethora of outdoor activities, and kids will love swimming in the pool and lake, playing badminton or playing the structures at the nearby park. It's also a great time to fish on the lake (permit required), BBQ a great meal or head out to one of the many great restaurants around. The small village of Chelsea is a quaint place to shop, eat and people-watch. When the Fall colours are out, the whole mountain comes alive and offers a fiery display both on the lake and from the front and back yards. Kids will enjoy the play structures at the nearby park and adults can use the multi-purpose surface for pickleball and the like. Evening magic brings fireflies and unobstructed starry night skies.

There are three TVs in the house and the basement TV is equipped with an Xbox 360. Kids will love competing on the full-size air hockey table or playing soccer on the baby foosball table.
