About the host
Hosted by Vicki
Hi, we’re Vicki & Pete. We live on a small rescue farm in Dixons Creek and love sharing this patch of the Yarra Valley with guests who want to slow down and reset. Our days revolve around caring for the animals, enjoying the view (it never gets old), and pointing guests toward the best cellar doors, long lunches, walks and local gems. We host with the aim of making your stay easy, peaceful and genuinely memorable.
Why they chose this property
We chose Dixons Creek for the calm, and for how close it is to everything people come to the Yarra Valley for — vineyards, rolling hills, wildlife, hot-air balloons, scenic drives, great food and wine. You can plan full days of wineries and long lunches, or do almost nothing at all and still feel like you’ve had a proper break.
What makes this property unique
The view is the headline — vines, hills and the dam, changing with the light from sunrise to sunset. The night sky is a big one too: clear, dark and perfect for stargazing or setting up a tripod. Add in a proper home (two bedrooms, two bathrooms, wood fire, bath by the window and two decks) set on a rescue farm, where by arrangement you can meet the animals, collect eggs when available, borrow an easel to paint the outlook, or request bikes to explore nearby country roads.
