About this property
A Sporting Spot in Warm Sunshine
Immersed in its own wrap around courtyard and private gated surrounds, our enticing 3 bedroom open plan sanctuary is a pet friendly stay with plenty of indoor outdoor living to enjoy. Lapping up the northern sun in the front pebbled courtyard and fabulous living area, you’ll love our vintage industrial flair with its polished concrete floors, black glass doors, brass lamps and antique touches. Perfect for families or friends to share, with secure parking for two.
Our place is a proper attached house on a single level with two small steps to the entrance. It’s bathed in northern sunshine, and supremely private behind high fences and established greenery. With a touch of colour, we have 2 x 3 seater couches and an armchair in the north facing living room to watch the 65inch smart TV, an antique desk, glass occasional tables, a full length mirror for when you need to dress up for special occasions. The fully equipped family size kitchen has a 4-slice toaster, microwave, full size fridge, air fryer, coffee pod machine, dishwasher, stainless steel cooking appliances and a dining table for 6 and a European laundry with a combo washer/dryer. There are 2 queen size bedrooms – each with plenty of storage for luggage and clothes, a versatile study/single bedroom with pull out sofa bed, a marble bathroom with black highlights and a separate toilet. We have two outdoor dining settings, one for the private rear courtyard to relax and unwind on a warm summer’s evening, and one for the front garden courtyard to enjoy the sun. Combine the two to create a lovely afternoon chill out session. There is also secure parking for two behind the sliding gate. The home is air conditioned and secure with a keyless entry. There are various places around the home if you are required to pull out the laptop for work, study or browsing.
Guests can access all parts of the property. Be mindful that we are joined to another home and we are in a residential street, thus the need for quiet enjoyment.
Sunshine North is in Melbourne’s western suburbs just off Duke Street, near the Duke Street Industrial Park. It’s home to the Melbourne Knights Soccer Club. The industrial park has a sporting theme with Phi Long Billiards and Entertainment, indoor Pickleball courts at Pickleball Paradise, the Braybrook Football Club, Southern Cross Archery Club, and after all that, you can relax at City Cave Braybrook with its float room, massage and infrared sauna. There is also a Badminton court in nearby Bunnett Street and Medway Golf Course on the edge of the Maribyrnong River. Our stay is also near the Quang Minh Buddhist Temple and the Duke Street Reserve (dog park), affectionately known as “Sun Tan” the ‘tan’ of the west, where you can find walking trails along the Maribyrnong River discovering Solomon’s Ford and the Quarry Lake. There’s an additional off leash dog park at Cranwell Park. For some indoor fun, try Karting Madness in Braybrook or the basketball stadium at RecWest Braybrook. For those in need, we are a few minutes away from the Joan Kirner Women’s and Children’s Hospital at Western Hospital where there is also an emergency hospital. Victoria University’s Sunshine campus is around the corner. For essentials, Coles supermarket and Chemist Warehouse are in the shopping plaza along Ballarat Road, as well as a choice of cafes, fast food, clothes boutiques, a medical centre, laundromat and beauty salons. Highpoint Shopping Centre is 4.5 kilometres away and easily accessed via car or public transport.
