About this property
Bailey Estate Margaret River Lakeside Stay
Nature-wrapped and designed for gathering, this peaceful bushland lodge sits just ten minutes from Margaret River. Perfect for multigenerational travel, it balances shared spaces with privacy across a central main lodge, two self-contained apartments, and four private studio suites. Spend your days by the lake, explore nearby walking and cycling trails, or gather around the fire pit at dusk. Alfresco meals unfold to birdsong, while year-round climate control ensures comfort in every season.
Nestled in one of Western Australia’s most coveted destinations, this sanctuary is designed to inspire, rejuvenate and elevate your everyday life during and after your stay. With expansive views of lakes with temperate rainforest backdrops, overlooking vineyards and a local farm, this retreat invites quiet connection to landscape and self as nature unfolds from every room, alive with rare birdlife, kangaroos and emus roaming the 160-acre estate.
The Bailey family redefines modern holiday sophistication, curating a stay where contemporary elegance meets Margaret River’s ancient redgum forest and vineyard surrounds. Each unit reflects a timeless aesthetic, combining wood, wool and stone with open, light-filled interiors.
The heart of the property is the main lodge, purpose-built for connection. Open-plan living areas bring everyone together around an indoor fireplace, with large windows framing bushland views. A second living zone offers space to unwind, while two well-equipped kitchens and adjoining dining areas make shared meals effortless.
The lodge is divided into two self-contained apartments, each featuring two bedrooms, a bathroom, and laundry facilities—ideal for families travelling together while maintaining privacy. Four private studio suites, accessed via a wraparound patio, provide additional independence with comfortable beds, ensuites, kitchenettes, and sitting areas.
Outdoor living is woven throughout, with multiple decks and patios overlooking the water, sun loungers, an outdoor dining area, a gas BBQ, and a fire pit under the stars. With expansive grounds, a single-level layout, ample parking, and reverse-cycle air conditioning throughout, the property is also perfectly suited to weddings, retreats, and family gatherings.
From here, life slows to the pace of the landscape. Wake to birdsong and step into a place of quiet serenity, where the day begins with scenic walks weaving through native trees or gentle bike rides tracing the water’s edge. Enjoy relaxed picnics by the lake, gather beneath ancient gums for lingering lunches, and welcome sunset drinks as the fire pit draws everyone together.
During your stay, you and your group will have the entire house to yourselves. Please make yourselves at home!
Overlooking iconic lakes and forestland, Baileys Estate lies just 8 kilometres from Margaret River and 12 kilometres from the surf at Prevelly Beach. The location balances calm seclusion with easy access to Boranup Forest, acclaimed wineries and local favourites such as McHenry Hohnen, Leeuwin Estate, Stella Bella, Brown Hill and Rosabrook. Nearby, Stella Bella Wines and The Berry Farm await in Rosabrook, while on the way to Witchcliffe, you can stop at Idée Fixe, Amato Vino and Dear Darnell’s.
A direct walking trail from the estate winds through Ten Mile Brook Dam National Park to the banks of the Margaret River, ending at The Brewhouse and Hairy Marron Café. With walking and cycling paths nearby, and beaches and surf breaks just a short drive away, Baileys Estate offers a peaceful bushland base within effortless reach of the region’s best experiences.
Due to local regulations, we can happily host you for up to 90 nights. Any bookings that exceed this duration will be cancelled by Vrbo.
