Great location in Kitty Hawk, near the beach and main drag, where you can find everything type of shopping and dining you ever want or need.
The house was outdated by about 40-50 years, but everything was clean with the exception of the sliding glass door and ceiling vents in the living room ceiling vents showed evidence of mold. There was also a musty smell in the house, but this is not uncommon in NC coastal beach houses, in my opinion.
I stayed with 3 of my friends and they all slept well and thought the beds were comfortable, but I didn't sleep well and thought that the beds were not comfortable. (I tried 2 different beds). I highly recommend getting new mattresses, as they seem really old and cheap.
The kitchen had everything you would need for cooking or baking, which is nice. There was also a washer/dryer and grill. We did not use those. The living room furniture was pretty comfortable. The dining room had a small table that seats 4 and it was OK comfort-wise. They did not give us enough toilet paper. They gave us 3 skimpy rolls and we ran out in one bathroom and had to use our Kleenex. The house had some cleaning supplies, dish soap, dishwasher soap, and a roll of paper towels, but did not provide extra trash bags. Those are always nice to have.
In all, I give it 3 stars. It was not awful, but I was definitely not a 5 star place, but you get what you pay for and this was an OK place to stay at an affordable price in the Outer Banks, which can be expensive.
