The house was very clean. The pool is great - large and was cleaned before we arrived and also once during our stay. The owner is very responsive and helpful. We had a very nice stay.

We loved staying at this property! It was in a great location - quick walk to beach and really close to all the restaurants, shopping etc. The house was so clean and comfortable and the pool was just lovely!! We had such a great week and can’t wait to come back! The host was so accommodating, very responsive and easy to communicate with. Highly recommend!!

The open space format of the living area was bright. Lots of seating available at the large kitchen table in addition to the kitchen counter. Living area seating was comfortable. Terrific large pool and patio. Lots of space on both decks, with very nice hanging, swinging benches facing the Atlantic Ocean. We especially enjoyed relaxing there in the morning and evening. The beds need to be made. Fans need cleaned. Pool should be heated. If you can’t climb stairs you’re in trouble.

We had an excellent stay at John's house. The house was clean and ready for us when we arrived. Upstairs was a great gathering point for our family of eight along with our dogs. There was more than enough room for all of us at the table to eat meals, while the living room area was large enough to watch tv or play a few card games. The pool and backyard were an outstanding alternative to the beach or somewhere to cool off and relax after a day at the beach. While this house is 2nd row, the beach access was just a very short walk. The house made the vacation very enjoyable but the best aspect was John the owner of the house. John was quick to respond to questions prior to us arrving at the beach. He was always very upbeat and postive when we commuicated. When we return to Surf City we will stay here again!

A great family weekend

Stayed here for 3 nights to celebrate a family member's birthday! It was perfect for our smaller families to convene at from Raleigh and Wilmington! The rooms are set up nicely, the pool was an added bonus, and proximity to the beach and restaurants were great too! Definitely would recommend staying here and we will likely come back!!

Fabulous Stay!

It was me and 10 other people (3 families total, and we were very comfortable, never feeling like we were on top of each other. It’s a very short walk to the beach, and the pool is a great bonus. The house is well loved and cared for, and John is a great and attentive host. I would absolutely stay here again.
